I bought this vest on a Daily Deal, and got a GREAT price on it-- I figured "What the heck, for this price, how bad can it be?". I'm glad I did-- it ended up being a screaming deal.

The fill quality is very good, especially for the price I paid, but honestly, even for the every day price. I have a name-brand, 800-fill puffer hoodie, that clearly has more down, but honestly, not THAT much more (by feel, at least). I've worn this vest on 30-something or 40-something degree days with just a long-sleeve (heavier) shirt underneath it and been VERY comfortable-- nice and warm on a "cool" day.

The only issue I've had with this vest, however, are the zippers. Several times I've had them catch (lightly) when zipping or unzipping, and they just need some gentle manipulation to get them freed up and working again-- not a huge deal, and honestly, somewhat expected for the price, but that makes this a 4-star product instead of a 5-star. Fortunately, the zipper malfunctions have so far been only temporary, and not functionally destructive-- or we'd quickly be going down to the 2-3 star range.

For now, however, I'm VERY pleased with this vest-- does just what I want, looks nice, and I got a great deal.

A side by side comparison of this 32Degrees jacket was performed with my Mountain Hard Wear (MHW) down jacket. The two jackets appear comparable. The MHW jacket outer shell feels slightly thicker and more durable. The 32Degrees jacket outer shell is slightly thinner and feels soft to the touch. They both fit well and appear to provide the same warmth protection. Note that I have not had a chance to field test both jackets at the same time in the field. I got both jackets on sale. The key difference is that I paid twice as much for the MHW jacket. Hope this helps.

Fits and wears more like a tailored sweater-vest that you can wear over a lightweight shirt, and under a coat. Silky material, good pockets, super lightweight, and quite warm. Really liking it so far, feels good even to wear around the house, you barely notice you have it on.

This is my first time owning a puffer of any sort, so I have no basis to compare it to. It's very light and it's fairly warm. However, I did want to add to the other reviews that it really is a vest more so than a your typical outerwear, so you want a snug fit. I bought a medium, which is my normal size, and it bubbles up all around me. I should've got a small.

I wore this thing every freakin' day in the winter, and will probably continue to use it through the spring. It's a great role player for certain wardrobes. It's a 5 star product for price and functionality, but I knocked a star off because the overall quality is a bit shoddy. Mine has held up well, but I'm a bit careful with it. The price is right though!

First of all, this is not something you should expect to use a standalone winter jacket. Don't go into it thinking that it's going to be the warmest thing ever. It's a bit thin and very lightweight, all of which is quite clearly explained in the description. The reason it works so well for me is because my primary winter jacket is a thick fleece material, which (although comfortable) is not quite immune to wind gusts. This little vest easily fits underneath that jacket, and that extra layer keeps the wind from getting to my torso. Once I arrive at my destination I can take off the jacket and leave the vest on without it causing me to sweat at all. The high collar eliminated my need for a scarf, except for those wicked cold days where I needed the scarf to cover my face.

When the weather isn't as cold (40-50 degrees) this vest makes it easier to get away with skipping a jacket. Vest + Hoodie + maybe a beanie, and I'm set! The hood can pop out the back of the vest (even when fully zipped). This is what makes it so functional for spring weather.

In terms of sizing, I'd say it fits as expected, but it doesn't have much give to it. I'm sort of a 'tweener between small and medium. I'm not too big, and I like tighter clothing. That said, I got the small and it's like JUST barely big enough to fit.

Smells a tiny bit like boiled eggs, but not enough to be annoyed. Not sure what the smell if from, other reviewers warned me of it but I bought it anyway as a lightening deal. Will wash it with Dreft and see what happens. A good bargain at thirty dollars. Wouldn't pay more. Great color for Christmas. Looks great on a tall skinny woman. Fits like Patagonia, which is to say on the slim side.

My office is often cold if I only wear a shirt. However, it is not comfortable and it is too hot to wear a sweater or jacket. I caught cold a few times last year due to this. I bought this vest, and I love it. It is very comfortable and it keep me warm. Because it is a vest, it won't make me sweat or feel uncomfortable. However, the fabric looks very thin, and I don't know how long this vest will last. I hope that i can use it for two winters.

Quite nice looking. Great pockets on both sides and inside as well. Seems to be of decent quality. Fits perfect--I bought a small and I'd say it is accurate. It isn't as warm as I'd like, but that could be just me--it is my first vest and it may take getting used to the sleeves being exposed. I love having the extra heat without extra bulk of sleeves.
