I really like what this mic has to offer and the bundled software was a bonus. It's hard to find a usb mic at this price that offers these features and this level of audio quality (on par with some mics 2x's its price).

That said, I did find the registration of the Presonus software a bit cumbersome (the instructions on the enclosed activation card are evidently old) as it appears that the Presonus website has been updated. The activation of the iZotope plug-in was much more straightforward. Overall, a great deal $-wise and aside from some confusion in regards to downloading and activating with PreSonus (had to create a PreSonus account NOT use my linkedIN account) I'm very happy with this purchase.

FWIW - I'm using this to quickly capture music ideas and make high quality demos when away from my non-mobile home project studio.

I wanted to make clear voice recordings.

I did my shopping on Amazon and was deciding between the Blue Yeti and the Razer Seiren. Watched comparisons on Youtube but my hearing couldn't distinguish between them. Chose the Yeti based on looks.

After deciding on the Yeti I was going to buy the limited edition black version. Then I noticed the Yeti Pro. I was happy to spend more for better sound, which it appeared to have (in written specification, not my hearing), but it required more setting up and driver installations whereas the Yeti was plug and play. Strange that the Pro needed more configuration, but plug and play was more attractive. Was about to commit to the black edition and noticed the Studio All-In-One package.

Youtube videos were suggesting Audacity as the audio capture and editing software. Even some of the reviews on Amazon said the same in spite of the bundled software, Presonus Studio One and the Izotope plugin. The main criticism being too complicated. However, I chose to buy the All-In-One because the software was heavily discounted in the package and it can't hurt to have to good software.

The microphone is great. Sound capture is fantastic. My voice is very clearly captured and it even picks up the humming of the refrigerator. Need to use it in a silent place.

Presonus Studio One and the Izotope Nectar plugin were not provided on discs. I got a card with Activation Keys for both and a download link. The software wasn't too big, both combined were no more than 150MB to download. The free add-ons and sample sounds were much bigger.

Upon firing up the software Studio One is quite a confronting sight, I must admit. I tried Audacity too and was able to record and edit within seconds because it's very basic and intuitive.Read more ›

If you want an affordable, good quality home USB mic, look no further that the Blue Yeti. It's awesome. But don't bother wasting your money on this broken 'All-in-one- package. The software you should recieve, for paying teh extra $50 dollar the package cossts, simply doesn't work. Nectar Elements won't work with Studio One (yes, I followed all the instrcutions, and registered and authorized both products) but still they can't wwork together. Even the 'included' Blue Yeti Templates that are meant to be built in to Studio One don't work, with just error messages when you try to use.

Emails to Nectar aand Blue Yeti Customer Service go unanswered, while Stdio One replied, saying it wasn't their problem.

If i lived in the US, I'd return this waste of money tomorrow and buy the cheaper version. As is, all i can do is write this review and hope others can save their money.

It took a while for me to receive the package but it came, and nothing was damaged. The mic itself is not that heavy, but the thing that holds up the mic is the heaviest. The installation process of the two software that comes with this package is pretty confusing. They both work hand-in-hand, so newbies can easily get confused and wonder why one software isn't working. I'm not sure if it's b/c I've never actually used a recording software before, but I wasn't that impress.

Mic, Studio One Artist, and Nectar Elements all work great, but not together (details later). you even get a licence to both v2 and v3 of Studio One Artist when you activate the code on Presonus's website. Now keep in mind Studio One Artist is a fully evolved DAW and not a simple audio editor. So if you have never worked with a DAW before you will be spending quite a while learning how to use it effectively, but nothing worth docking a star over. The plugin Nectar Elements gives you a lot of nice preset filters for tuning your vocals or adding crazy effects, and the Mic is exceptional for my needs. All in all I'm happy.

The only problem is that Studio One Artist will not allow you to use any 3rd party plugins without the purchase of a plug-in for Studio One Artist. So Nectar Elements that is bundled with the mic not work with the version of Studio One provided. The Plug-in that allows for additional 3rd party plugins will cost you an additional $80, just over half the cost of this bundle. Granted Nectar Elements and Studio One would normally cost $100 each if bought separately, so this bundle already saved you nearly $180 if you were already looking into buying this software. I just wish that the bundle had a little more thought put into it and would all work perfectly together without additional cost.

Additional Note: Nectar Elements will work with audacity, this is how i played around with it and I really liked it. So if you are just buying this bundle for Nectar Elements and use audacity to record with, this bundle is still worth the slight additional cost.
