My four year old granddaughter needed a new toothbrush so I ordered her the Purple Baby Buddy 360 Toothbrush, Step 2. She doesn't get around her teeth as good as she should and I thought this brush would really help her. I purchased the step 1 for her sister and it has been extremely helpful.
The Baby Buddy 360 Toothbrush, Step 2, is a medium bristle toothbrush. It comes in three colors purple, royal blue and red. The toothbrush is 5 1/2 inches long. The bristles are 1/2 inch tall and 1/2 inch wide and go all the way around the brush. The handle is in a triangle shape making it easy to hold on to. The toothbrush makes is simple to reach every section of your mouth.
My granddaughter thinks it is fun to brush her teeth with the new toothbrush. When I put toothpaste on it, I put a small amount and then flatten it around the toothbrush bristles in a thin layer. She is brushing more intently now trying to reach everywhere and enjoys rubbing the toothbrush up, down and around in circles. She usually makes funny faces at me while brushing her teeth and sticks her tongue out to brush it. The toothbrush seems to amuse her since she can brush upper and lower teeth at the same time when she slightly closes her mouth. I am glad I chose this toothbrush for her, it's nice to see her happy brushing her teeth instead of dreading it.
In comparison for Step 1 and Step 2, the only difference I found was the softness of the bristles. Stage one is soft, stage 2 is medium. Both are the same size toothbrush and bristle head. They both can be used with toothpaste or with just water and no toothpaste. The shape of the bristle head is helpful to prevent plaque since you can get all your teeth better.

My 3 year old daughter has been getting some plaque build up on her teeth each day and her regular toothbrush just wasn't getting everything off. We were having a horrible time trying to get to her back teeth or angle it correctly to adequately brush her teeth. It made for our morning/night routines to become something dreaded.
I got this toothbrush in hopes that it would work or at the very least lessen the stress of brushing her teeth. It arrived quickly. I initially lost all hope when I saw it since my daughter is very small for her age...the toothbrush looked too big. But we gave it a try anyway.
Much to my surprise, it worked wonderfully!! Her mouth is small so I think she might be better off with something smaller BUT this one still fit. We were able to get to the back outside teeth with no issue whatsoever. We rocked the toothbrush back and forth to removed any plaque. After brushing we usually had to scrape some remaining stuff off but with the 360 toothbrush we didn't. Everything was removed while brushing! She even laughed and was happy to brush her teeth! I'm beyond thankful!
It fits in a toothbrush holder and isn't bulky like some other children's toothbrushes.

I was not sure how my 2yr old would take to this new toothbrush, as she does love the king of little brush that I have been using since I started brushing her teeth. When I was offered to try this brush at a discounted rate, I thought it couldn't hurt to try and I can give an honest review on it. After I received it, I tried it with her that night. She LOVES brushing her teeth and grabbed this brush from my hand and gave it a once over. It didn't take long for her to start brushing her teeth. She had no problem using it and I absolutely love the fact that it will get to more of her teeth and gums than regular brushes. Usually she will just brush the front teeth, but she actually started to brush the back ones and the inside of her teeth some. Of course, I am not relying on my 2 yr old alone to brush her teeth properly. She does it first and then I go behind her. I used to fight with her to get her to open all the way in order to get inside and back. With this brush she was allowing me to get to those places with ease.
This is really an amazing design for children that are learning to brush properly. It fits in my daughters hand nicely and she really has no problem reaching areas that normally she wouldn't get. I am going to need to buy two more for my older two. Too bad our pediatric dentist doesn't hand these out at visits.
