I should have done more research online, originally I found sites recommending this product.... okay, here's the real scoop: The magnet is too weak to secure the case closed. It will flap open by...any thing...to include holding it side ways to upside down. Very unfortunate. I recommend you find something else.

(The fit on the phone was very nice though.)

Some reviews for these say they don't fit right, but mine fits perfectly onto my phone.
This isn't a case, really, more like a protective front cover, as you replace the back of the phone with "shell."
The magnet wakes my phone when opened, and while it isn't the strongest magnet in the world, it generally stays shut when I want it to.

Pros: color looks better in real life, you never have to use the wake/power button because the phone detects the cover opening as the same event!

Con's: really fat, looks like about a 1/16" added just to the back thickness, not including the cover. Fit and finish isn't as good as with the shell that shipped with the phone, the left hooks never quite snap in place with my g. Fortunately I don't have OCD or that gap would be irritating. Really though, for a $30 piece of plastic/vinyl I expected at least as good quality as the default shell.

Absolutely worthless. This is supposed to replace the back cover. Sounds like a great idea, it even looks like just what I wanted. It does not snap onto phone and stay. It is molded wrong at the factory I presume, so when you push it on, it just pops right back off. Does not "snap" into place and hold. If mine is like this, they all are. Please don't waste any money or time on this cheap piece of imported junk.

UPDATE: Amazon sent a replacement with the same issue, but it does stay snapped on a bit better. You can see that the back is not staying in place, but it doesn't completely fall off. A bigger problem with this one is the volume up/down buttons are now dragging on the case and this is causing them to be stuck in either the up or down position, as if I were holding them down continuously. This is also caused by a poor fit. I decided to give up and keep this one, so I took a small file to the case to solve the button sticking issue.

This is a genuine Motorola accessory for a Motorola phone. How awful is that?

I'm losing confidence in Amazon. How can they sell crap like this? They should refuse to carry it.

I bought a cheaper downward flip case first, but it added too much bulk. The side flip is a bit less convenient, but this case preserves the feel of the phone and does not add bulk. I wish I had bought this first.

Snapped right on my wife's Moto G EXT providing good protection in her purse. She loves it. The hinge seems a little flimsy and I question its durability for the long haul. That is the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. Also note that this is screen protective cover, it provides no cushioning for a dropped phone. (but I knew that anyway.)

Brought it for the wife's phone, she said she wanted a red cover and most of the others were pink. It is an excellent cover, I like that it actually attached to the phone, replacing the old cover at the back. Also the magnet is strong enough it can hold a slip of paper or two, for a note she might want to put in there, without making an entry in the calendar.
Fells more solid than 3rd party covers.
