This chair is very small (be sure to check the dimensions!). It seemed a bit small for a three year old, to give you an idea. The one we received was rusty and had unfinished, sharp metal on it, which would surely scratch a floor or snag a rug. Ponies are cute, though.

For a "new" product, it sure looked used to me. Even though it was wrapped in a thick plastic and had tags on it, the legs were rusted. Not a lot, but enough to make me frown when taking it out of the packaging. The rust was coming from little scratches on the legs where it looks like it had been unfolded and scraped against concrete or something. There was also a small chip in the paint at the hinge where rust was forming.
I wiped it down as best I could with some WD-40 which took a lot of the rust off and it looked much better.

The rest of the chair was awesome. The seat is made of a soft plush. I was afraid it would be too little at first, but once my 4 year old sat in it, I saw it was actually a perfect fit for her. She absolutely loved it and is currently sitting in it right now watching My Little Pony.

I wouldn't recommend it for children over the age of 5 as it is pretty small. As it is, my daughter will probably outgrow this in the next year, but for the price, it's not too bad.

Disappointed as soon as the box was opened I could immediately tell back the metal part of the chair had rusted. And if you have lived on the coast you know rust is like cancer and will only get worse...
