I originally gave this product a poor review but I deleted it because I'd used the highlighters on regular paper page at first and they didn't work well on that. After trying them on the thin pages of the bible I found they worked well and don't smear or bleed through. I am happy with this product and would recommend it.

I have been using the multi-color Bible pencils for years. When their price went up to $27 I decided to try these gel highlighters. They are great! They don't bleed through thin pages and the color is vibrant. What a great find!

I have used gel highlighters before and they were horribly sticky and not usable at all in my bible so I was so pleasantly surprised when I got these. They highlight perfectly with bold color, go on so smooth, with no bleed through and no stickiness! Great highlighters for my bible.

These are fantastic. I wasn't completely sure what the material was as they look in the picture like actual highlighters and I wasn't completely sure what a "gel tip" would entail. The best way I can describe them is like very smooth crayons. They highlight beautifully and with very little effort. I study from a compact bible with extremely thin pages. I can only use pencil on the pages or ballpoint pens (which don't always write well), but with those I run the risk of not making straight lines and crossing through some of the text.

These were the perfect solution. As I said before, they are kind of like crayons, they draw very well and very smoothly. There is no color bleed.

I was skeptical that there's really worked as well as some of the reviews, but I shouldn't have been. These highlighters are amazing! They do not leak through your pages, although you can vaguely see them on the other side. But, overall these are perfect for Bible highlighting!

I read plenty of reviews before I purchased this item. For years I have used a colored pencil, sort of like a regular pencil, but with yellow instead of black/gray. But they are hard to find around here, so I thought I'd try this product. I read that some complained using these was too much like a crayon, others that it left flecks, etc. I discovered that if you run the tip of it LIGHTLY/GENTLY, THEY highlights just fine BUT only when I press too hard does it fleck. It does NOT bleed through (though there is a light "shadow" when the light is just right). I highlight on avg. 2-5 verses per chapter and I started with Genesis, am in Leviticus, and still no problems. The "feel" is weird, since it is a "gel," but after a couple highlights I got used to this. I'm not sure I'll use all 5 colors in my lifetime, but if I did I would buy another set of these. I liked my "lead" pencil just fine, but I put it away and decided to convert to these instead.

I use these highlighters in my Bible. I appreciate that they don't bleed through the page, but I wish that the brightness was more consistent - I finally threw away the blue one because it's hardly visible on the page. The pink is by far the brightest, followed by the orange. The yellow and green are about the same, and like I said, the blue is almost invisible. They are a bit waxy and the tip is broad, so it's hard to put the line exactly where I want it, but since I'm just outlining passages, that's not super-important to me. I wouldn't like to use these in a textbook, though.
