Let me start by saying that we love our UPPAbaby system (2015 Vista, Bassinet, Mesa Car Seat). We literally have all the accessories. Baby seat cabana? Check. Infant Snugseat adapter? Check. Stroller Blankie? Check.

When we ordered this bassinet stand it was not available on Amazon. Much like the 2015 Vista system itself, it was not actually available to purchase anywhere and was on nationwide backorder. I ended up placing an order at a big-box baby retailer whose name rhymes with "Hi Hi Maybe."

Overall, the bassinet stand is a fine product. Ours arrived with minor paint defects, but considering the time it took to special order and await delivery I was not interested in swapping it out on that account. It does what it says, it holds the Vista/Cruz compatible bassinet sturdily off the floor, and provides a place underneath for random stuff to accumulate.

I have deducted a star for several reasons.

1) It is very expensive for what it is. $150 for a folding wood frame, with proprietary connectors upon which you can attach your bassinet.
2) the attachment between the bassinet is not very solid front-to-back, meaning my bassinet rocks front to back when installed in the stand. Is this by design? I wouldn't know, there was nothing about that included in the package or manual. If it is by design, it doesn't allow enough rocking to really soothe a baby. I did not feel it was a safety issue, more of a manufacturing tolerances glitch, and again didn't really have time to waste waiting for a replacement.
3) Speaking of time... This goes for the bassinet and by association, the stand - My baby only got about 2 months of use out of the bassinet.Read more ›

We weren't sure if this was unnecessary for our baby. After a week or two with our baby home, we decided to purchase this since we put our baby in the bassinet that came with our Uppababy Vista purchase. We have this in the living room where we can watch her. Initially we placed the bassinet on the ground, but felt she needed to be higher up. We decided to purchase the stand. It is sturdy, durable. It has the locks to securely attach the bassinet. The tray below is great to hold all of our baby equipment in the living room. It's easily foldable and we will definitely use the hamper as she graduates out of the bassinet. Great investment.

Bought this because we also have an UPPAbaby Vista stroller with bassinet. Figured it would be a good idea to have this in case we got back from a walk and our daughter had fallen asleep; figured we could plop the bassinet on and let dreamland go undisturbed. However, despite loving our other UPPAbaby products, I just can't really recommend this item. What you get for the price does not feel super sturdy. The plastic connectors are simply screwed into the wood and do not seem secure...the bassinet rocks a bit too much for my liking once it is locked in, whether or not it has the extra weight of the baby in it. Once the bassinet days are over, you can supposedly use this as a hamper but...I kind of regret the purchase as we have barely used it. The unit looks nice and seems like a good idea, but I guess we unconsciously decided we don't trust it. Too bad; UPPAbaby seems like a great company otherwise.

We used the bassinet and stand for my daughter for 2.5 months. She outgrew the bassinet in length very quickly. The stand is well made and easy to clean. Bought the hamper inserts and now using to that way, fits tons of clothes!
