I don't like it.
Firstly - the lamination wasn't great and there are areas with exposed wood. Which means if water gets in there it'll swell.

Secondly, while a cool idea, heavier knives tend to fall off from time to time. Doubly so if doing something else on the counter, like tenderizing meat.

Nice looking block, but poor quality control. Mine would not sit evenly on the counter (which was definitely flat), it teetered and when 3 of the corners were flush on the counter the 4th would be about a half inch off the counter. Definitely not how i want to secure the sharpest objects in my kitchen.

As advertised. It sits evenly and can hold several items. The magnet is not super strong, my 10" bread knife slides down a little, but at the same time that's not necessarily a bad thing as the knives come off easily without jerking the block around.

This knife block looks great sitting on the counter. The magnet is strong enough for all of the knives that I wanted to store on it. It was not strong enough to hold a kitchen scissor but I wasn't really expecting it to nor was I planning on using it to hold that particular item. The professional chef knives we received for Christmas look great on this block and keep them always in easy reach. A great buy!

Very sturdy and thick and holds my delicate Japanese knives perfectly. The dock itself is only long enough for 8 inch knives if you want the heel of your knife to fit snugly over the top lip of the dock. I oiled the block a little bit before using, which brought out its colours, and also helps preserve my carbon steel knives a little better.

I love this product. It was exactly what I needed for my tiny kitchen. It takes up very little space on my counter space. It looks clean and modern. The magnetic board is highly functional; my knives are accessible all the time. I was given a set of Mercer knives for my birthday that I wanted to show off on my counter top but I was nervous that this wouldn't be able to hold them as they are quite heavy but I haven't had any issues, the magnets hold them up perfectly!

I highly recommend this product.
