My dealer tried to explain to me that flushing and replacing the brake fluid on my 09 ZX6R was at least a two hour job, and gave me an $181 estimate. After picking my jaw up off the floor and riding home, I found this beauty. The metal construction (as opposed to several others on amazon that are plastic) was unexpected at this price point. It comes in a case, which is another huge plus, and with several bleeding nipple fitments. I was planning on needing teflon tape to create a decent vacuum between the nipples and fitments, but one of the fitments worked perfectly on all three calipers with no tape needed. The thing held a great vacuum the entire time as well. All said and done and having never flushed and replaced brake fluid before, it took me 13 minutes for all three calipers.

I choose to purchase this pump mainly because it was made of metal, versus other similar pumps made of plastic, and had the added bonus of coming with a case. I used it on my motorcycle brakes and it worked just as it was designed to do. The unit sealed up well and lost no pressure during use. It made easy work of bleeding the lines.

The pump is made in China, so the jury is still out on how long it will last. However, it's not a tool I will be using every day, but for occasional use when needed, so I think it's worth the money. If you're a professional mechanic and the pump will see daily, multiple uses, this may not be for you. But for the backyard mechanic, I think it serves its purpose well...

Worked pretty well for bleeding brakes but I still had to have someone pump the brake pedal to get fluid forced out of the lines. The fluid bottle is much too small and had to be repeatedly emptied on a single line which requires you to interrupt the bleeding process several times.

Worked excellent. Very nice & sturdy. Much better than the plastic ones that break after 1 use. Very pleased with this one.

Mine would not hold the pressure to do anything, could not even use it. Seemed to be of better quality that the plastic ones I have seen. It think that maybe I just received a dud or the seal was not in right when made?.... Oh well, Wish it would of worked but had to return it.

Worked well while it lasted, but only lasted for 3 uses. The gauge calibration got way off and couldn't be corrected, the pressure release pin bent, and most importantly the handle joint pin (which is plastic, not metal as shown in some of the pictures) broke which finally rendered the thing useless.

Worked like a charm until I ran it over LOL. The fitting was a little loose on my 2007 Honda Element, but I was able to keep a tight enough seal on the bleeder valve to get it all bled. Then, when cleaning up, I left the pump laying right next to the wheel and backed right over the pressure gauge. It still works, just a bit beat up looking now. So, duly noted, the pressure gauge cannot withstand a 3700 lb vehicle driving over it apparently :)

It arrived today - out of the box, I put my finger on the vacuum nozzle, pumped it up to about 20 IN Hg, and watched the need drop. I had hoped to test some automotive vacuum lines, but I sure can't with this one.
