When correctly adjusted the display on this monitor is fabulous. I would have loved to give this 5 stars but the control panel is awful. The controls are sensitive and finicky. There is no tactile feedback at all. It is almost like some kind of practical joke. Some may think I'm being too critical. I counter that by saying until you have tried to adjust the RGB using a spectrophotometer to calibrate this monitor you will not understand how frustrating those invisible controls are. If it were not for the outstanding display performance I'd have given this monitor a 3 star rating.

Also, would it kill these manufacturers to provide better instructions? I know another reviewer remarked on how difficult the power switch was to find. Even after reading her review I still had trouble finding it that's how invisible it is. Now I see that just the merest touch of the power switch "area" executes that function.I also learned I could not figure out how to turn on the menu. Here's a hint: Press the "1" key. What? Oh well. Another thing I learned is that the "keys" need to be pressed above the marking closer to the edge of the frame to work.

Still, considering how beautiful the display output looks when set up properly, I give it 4 stars. I would love to give it 5 but the menu "keys" are just too poorly thought out.

This is a superb Monitor, Bright and super sharp. One screw to install the stand is easy as it gets. I will admit that actually seeing the control buttons is near impossible but once you see them they work fine. This seems much easier on the eyes. What really gets me is the detail that I can now see, that I never saw before with my older monitor. ( Dell U2412) .
It comes boxed nicely, is very light in weight. The Drivers cd was on the very bottom of the box - hidden for some reason. It comes with
USB, DisplayPort, VGA, DVI and audio cable along with the standard power cable.

Nice bright sharp monitor. Like the extra height in the resolution. I do not do photography or anything, so I'm easily satisfied, but this monitor works great. Have been a ViewSonic fan since the early '90s and they never disappoint. The speakers on this are crap. Wish they'd quit putting speakers in altogether, it's not worth the cost, but that's not why I bought it, so five stars.

I've been using a 16:9 24 inch monitor for a while now, and I've liked the size. However, this trend of short and wide monitors drives me crazy. This ViewSonic moves away from that trend and gives us a 16:10 ratio, which I find wonderful. The extra vertical height is appreciated. I really like the extra real estate it offers over my 16:9 24 inch monitor.

I appreciate that ViewSonic integrated plenty of positioning options - adjustable tilt, swivel, height, and orientation. The bezel is a bit bigger than I would like, but it's clean and doesn't have any annoying graphics or stickers. Just a clean border. The integrated speakers are decent - nothing to write home about, but decent.

The monitor offers plenty of ports, and the package includes cables to get setup. The only thing I wish was included was HDMI.

The ViewSonic is nice and bright, and offers a crisp/clear image. Colors pop, darks are consistent, and brights are strong. I will say the monitor gets warm if there are a lot of brights on the screen, but nothing to be concerned about. The controls to adjust the screen (brightness, contrast, colors, etc.) are difficult to see in low light, but once you find them, they offer plenty of control and are easy to use.

It's a great monitor. It was plug-and-play in my case, with Windows 8.1. It was easy to setup - use the thumb screw to attach the base to the tower, and done. And it comes with all the cables you'll likely need. Just be sure your computer allows one of the video port types included with this monitor. Some devices only allow HDMI, so if you are in that boat, you'll need an adapter.Read more ›

This ViewSonic monitor is a quality product -- the display is brigt and crisp, and the versatile and functional display angles is outstanding. This monitor boasts a 16:10 aspect ratio, which they describe as unusual. I have not noticed any difference in terms of the visual display with the applications that I have tried. I am especially p,eased with the color composition on this screen -- it is clear and it simply "pops" with color. The 24" screen size is perfect for my use, a great computing screen and a fantastic screen for viewing media. I recommend this screen for anyone in the market for a replacement screen.
