Depending on what you're holding with this box, the size difference may or may not be a concern. There is a thick outer skeleton that makes the inner dimension smaller than the listed outer dimension of this box (each side is about .25 inches thick). It's big enough for crayons but I didn't buy this to hold crayons, haha.
Don't get me wrong though - that thick outer structure will make this box last. This box is made of tough, flexible plastic that will not crack easily under stress. Remember - this is a crayon box made for small kids who are likely to drop or throw things and this box is more than up to the task. I bought two and they stack very nicely. Despite being a bit smaller than expected, I still think these boxes are worth the money.

I love technology and have 7 tablets, 1 Fitbit, 3 or 4 small speakers, 3 bluetooth headsets, a cell phone, a Fitbit tracker and heaven only knows what else -- that's a lot of little devices that take up space but not as much aspace as the chargers and their large cables. I tried to organize everthing in the top two drawers of my half-height white file cabinets but I could not keep the cables from springing up at me every time I opened the drawer. These little boxes proved to be gems as if designed specially for that purpose. I now have 6 chargers and cables permanently mounted on a very innovative surge protector that I purchased at Amazon -- it has a little switch in front of each of the six electric plugs so that I only switch on a plug when I am ready to recharge a tablet or other device. Because of the number of devices I have and the kinds of cables they use in addition to charging cables -- audio cables of all kinds and lengths, I often have to retrieve a cable from the drawer. No shock now when I open that drawer because everything is neat and easy to find. I also use them to hold tacks, paper clips, pennies and other loose change, lead and erasers for my automatic pencils, These were designed, I think, for scrapbooking but they are perfect little boxes for a number of items.

You know what fits perfectly in these? Band-aids! I was looking for some small boxes to help organize a bathrrom cabinet and I ran across these boxes at my local JoAnns. I picked up one, just to see. It holds 2 boxes of bandaids perfectly. Im ordering 4 more for various other bits and pieces under the cabinet.

These are the perfect size to hold the colored pencils I saw in half to save space. Best part about them is that the lid helps act as a display surface, so if I put 26 half-pencils in each, I can lay out half of them in the box part and half of them on the lid part, and then they're not rolling about on the table, but I can see each color.

I also love very much that they stack so very well!

Nifty little box, I was pleasantly surprised and pleased at these boxes.

Pros:
- Small Form-factor - they won't take up a lot of room and best part their stackable
- Lid Closure - the lid comes completely off which I like personally there are 2 handles on the side that hold it down when closed
- Capacity - hold my 50 colored pencils with ease
- Portability - small enough to fit in your purse of bag to carry and not take up a lot of room. Really great if you need mutliples
- Opacity of Plastic - it's not totally clear there is a frost to the box but it's clear enough to see whats inside, totally handy

Cons:
- Capacity - I know it's a pro as well but I also wanted to hold my gel pens and the box just wasn't big enough for this. I have 40 slim gel pens but the case would only hold around 25 maybe

I recommend this product but keep in mind what your trying to store. They are great from smallish things or pencils, pens not so much, but for the price I'm satisfied.

These were purchased for my art students and being used to store away their color pencils. The quality of the plastic and container is decent and the latches could be a bit better, however for the price they get the job done.

The pencil can easily hold 24 pencils since that is how they are currently being used and can probably hold up to 36 (just my estimation). The pencil boxes stack nicely so you can space some space by stacking these boxes if needed.

The clear plastic is nice just because you can easily identify what is in the box just at a glance.

These work very well for holding pencils and markers. I wish it was about a quarter inch taller as it doesn't quite hold an entire box of markers. But I love how they stack well on top of each other. I ordered two more for my son's preschool supplies. The clasps are nice because my three year old can open it, but my one year old cannot.
