The iShower2 looks nice and solid out of the box and comes with a wall mount, 3 batteries and quick set up directions. The quick set up directions need improvement because they leave out critical information about initial pairing. After 45 minutes of frustration and muttering curse words under my breath, I went to the website iDevicesinc.com/Support and found a 9 page manual that has more detailed pairing instructions. I'm posting the initial pairing instructions as a photo. The key problem I ran into is the quick start instructions don't say to PRESS THE PLAY/PAUSE button before tapping iShower on your device.
So, what worked for me was to power the iShower on until it says Hi, hold the Bluetooth button for 5 seconds until it says USE 1 OPEN, then press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON until it says USE1 and then within 30 seconds I had to tap iShower on my iPhone in the Bluetooth devices. The quick start instructions leave out the critical part about hitting PLAY/PAUSE. If you've messed around with it and it no longer tells you USE 1 OPEN, it may need to be reset before you try again and that can be done by holding down the Bluetooth and PLAY buttons until you get a message that's it's clear (CLR PAIR will flash 5 times). If you continue to have pairing problems, you may want to check the website as it's possible your device is not compatible (website lists compatible devices) and more detailed instructions are available. I manually set the clock before I got my iShower paired, so I don't know if I had left it alone if it would have synced with my iPhone. The manual explains how to pair multiple devices, a great feature for customizing it for more than one person in the house.Read more ›

It was a slow build up but I have come to really love this little guy. I was skeptical from the reviews, there was a lot of issue with people connecting and admittedly, getting that initial connection with my smart phone found me turning everything off and then on, pressing all kinds of buttons to see if something would work and when I hit that little Time button in the upper right - it all worked (but be warned, that could have been a coincidence).
At any rate, once I connected, reconnected was in seconds and effortless. The iShower2 is a unique little device that actually uses it's own face as the display of instructions (see pic). Like I said, once I made the connection, reconnecting was effortless, even when I turned it off and then back on.
When it is connected that button for Time at the top right will display the current time that it automatically grabs from your phone, there is no set up there. The reason it gets 4 stars from me is the Sound, I just didn't like how tinny it was but it was loud enough to withstand the sound of the shower. but it wasn't fun to listen to music.
Overall, it's an easy to use, way to get sound in the shower. Yes, you can answer the phone from it but you'll only want to do that long enough to say "I'm in the shower"
