The good - it works as it's supposed to. The mop is good and absorbent and holds just the right amount of water when spun out to let me damp mop a wood floor without worrying about it, and if you DON'T spin it out, it holds enough water to get my whole tiled kitchen good and soppy wet, but WITHOUT dripping when I lift the mop up. Seriously, I've never had a mop that held this much water and DIDN'T drip before, I'd love it just for that. Also, my kids are not excited about mopping because the spinning is so cool! :-) I mean, really, how can you beat that :-) The bucket is easy to assemble, easy to drain, I had NO problems with the plug leaking. I like the way it breaks down to store the bucket inside the other bucket.

The bad - ok, think about this and it should be obvious, but people seem to expect that the spinning will leave you with a clean mophead. It will not - it spins out the dirty water, yes, but it does nothing to RINSE the mophead, so whatever dirt is in the mophead will get into the 'clean' side of the bucket. That said, I did find that the 'dirty' side was significantly dirtier than the 'clean' side, but don't expect the 'clean' side to stay pristine. It definitely is cleaner than the old one-bucket method.

The ugly - they SERIOUSLY need to come up with a latch system for holding on the mophead rather than the 'snap it in and pull it out' system. You are supposed to spread the mop out on the floor, place a foot on either side of the mophead, and pull straight up. This is a HORRIBLE idea. For one, I'm SURE that over time, I will pull those strings out from stepping on them. But more importantly, the first time I did this, I BLACKED MY OWN EYE when the mop handle came out and hit me right in the eye socket! Ouch!!

I was so excited for this mop because it's the only mop that has a separate compartment for the dirty water to go into the only draw back is the plug sucks and it leaks like crazy if I like it enough I might just glue the plug shut otherwise in going to return it I'm super bummed I want to love it!

Update : down graded to 1 star the leaking got worse and then the mop strings started to fall apart 1 star this is why I only buy amazon prime because the returns are so easy....I just bought the mopnado let's see if it's any better

Everything in this kit works as advertised However, I'm skeptical that it offers any cleaning improvement over a standard bucket and sponge mop. Let me explain why I say this.

The idea of two bucket chambers, one for clean and one for dirty water makes sense to those who don't fully grasp the concept of surfactants in detergents. Even so, clearly clean water to clean is a better solution (ha ha) than using the same water over and over until you are `cleaning' the floor with dirty gray-brown water.

Here, there are two chambers as the manufacturer states. You put detergent water mix in one chamber. Press on the mop handle and the head spins picking up a huge amount of water. I'd guess it holds a full quart / liter of liquid. Clearly you don't want to flood your floor with this so put it in the spin / dirty water basket, press the handle a few times to spin it and you spin out clean water into the dirty water chamber but at least get the mop ready to mop. This is, in my mind, inferior to the old rollers where the clean water is returned to the clean water side of the bucket.

OK, now mop. Then put the now very dirty mop into the dirty basket, spin, wring out the dirty water and then put in the clean water repeating the cycle. This both wastes some good detergent water and also doesn't fully clean the mop. The fibers are dirty from the mopping no matter how much spinning I did so I ended up polluting the clean water anyway just like a regular non spinning mop kit would.

Did it clean the floor? Yes, just fine. Did it spin and work as advertised? Clearly it did. It did, while spinning with a saturated clean water mop head spray a bit on my legs due to that super saturation, but mopping isn't a sterile pastime so I'll let that go.

I purchased this mop from another source and was really looking forward to using it.

All I can say is that the water on the "clean" side got as dirty as the water in the "dirty" side! Was all the dirt spun out? I don't know!

I have been wanting to try one of these spin mop sets for awhile. Now that I have tried one, I am not sure I was missing much.

The mop assembles easily. The handle is a bit short for me as I am 5'8" but I usually have that problem with most mop handles. The mop head is small so you will be mopping longer with this mop. The mop feels like a soft microfiber material.

The bucket assembles with a quick snap. It comes apart so it can be stacked and stored. There is a clean side where you put your cleaning fluid and water while the other side has the spinner where the dirty water goes. Now here is where it doesn't make sense. Once you get your mop wet, spin it and mop the floor, your water becomes dirty when you go to get more water on your mop. Now both sides of the buckets have dirty water. Not much different from an everyday mop and bucket. My floors did dry much faster though using this system as the mop is well wrung out. My bucket plug did not leak like others have stated. I pushed mine in firmly since I read about others having problems with the plug leaking.

I did notice in the picture of the bucket on Amazon has a pump in one corner but I did not receive a pump. Not sure if it was suppose to have one or not. This system was fun to use so this may be a good way to get your kids to mop the floor. I did appreciate the fast drying floors. It does a good job on the floor. The bucket is a bit on the flimsy side.
