This are my first pair of 5.10s, out of the box they are pretty comfortable and the look fantastic. I have a slim foot and they fit great width wise. The shoes also come with black laces so don't worry you aren't stuck using the orange ones. Just like all other shoes the insoles are pretty weak/thin. I have already swapped them out for some others as I have arch pain if I don't have the right kind. I rode in them at the skate park and they stayed stuck to my pedals really well and didn't show signs of damage from the pins. I was using Nike SB with lunar soles and they were visibly chewed after one day of riding. After trying these I have already purchased two other pairs of 5.10s that are on closeout (dirtbags and linekings). These are easily the more comfortable of the three. I am now a 5.10 guy for life!

This is my second pair of 5.10 Spitfire shoes in the past 4 years or so. Great looks (subjective I know), great fit. The only problem I have with this pair (that I didn't have with my first pair) is that there seems to be a seam (no pun intended) on the upper side of the tongue on the right shoe that sometimes irritates the top of my foot. However, I will say, I've had this problem on another pair of shoes I've bought lately, so its possible it could be me. And I think if it is the shoe, it's probably a fluke. So I'm not going to take off starts for that.

My first pair is still going strong even with some use as a mountain bike shoe with flat pedals with pins. So I expect these to last just as long. And on that note, the sole of these is designed as a BMX type shoe. So for use with bike pedals for BMX, mtn bike, dirt jump, whatever, they are UNREAL. These things stick to my flats with pins almost like I am clipped in with my Sidi bike shoes. The rubber on the sole has great traction.

Not sure what there is left to say about 'em. Other than, highly recommend.

Been beating up every pair of vans I've owned literally until the soles rip in two.

Opening the box you realize they are burly shoes but not clog-ish. Not that heavy considering they feel like you just strapped a set of tanks to your feet. Good material and layering all around, great for potential impacts anywhere on the feet.

At least a dozen runs down and pedaling as many fire roads up they are fantastic DH shoes. Hiking the bike up the steepest part of the climb they immediately felt great as opposed to my thin soled vans. Pushing the bike up some "V" shaped single track mostly damp red clay they had a decent amount of grip and felt solid. I can only recall slipping once the several hundred yard hike a bike.

Railing berms and keeping a sure foot on the pedal are the shoes highlights as far as a riding shoe. Jumping they always stayed connected, repositioning with so much good sole underfoot took getting used to but after a couple runs it was nothing to think about.

Getting wet...Nothing can keep all water out but they do a good job of insulating your feet from the sides. Wearing a wool blend keeps feet cozy in 30degree riding.

Overall they would look good enough to wear around if they weren't a bit muddy.
    Impressed!

As described in many reviews these shoes run small. I wear a size 9 1/2 in a regular shoe and 10 to 10 1/2 for running shoes. I bought these in a 10 and they fit fine with my thinner running socks but are too tight with thicker socks. The shoes are also narrow which is great for my narrow feet. If you have wide feet they will not work for you.

For function, I used them during a bike trip where we averaged 35 miles per day on hybrid bikes with flat pedals. The shoes were comfortable and transferred energy efficiently to the pedals. They are also useful for light hiking with reasonably sticky soles.

The shoes are good looking. I chose a color combination that I liked and happened to be steeply discounted. I would definitely buy again.

Great Product for bike riding without clip-less or clips. The sole adheres to the pedals and is stiff. Order 1/2 size larger than your normal shoe. I did not believe their size recommendation and order originally my normal size of 10 and they were snug and uncomfortable. Had to return for a 10.5. Which cost me the return shipping, but Five Ten exchanged the shoe immediately and in just a few days. Great company to deal with.

I have never in my life had to wear "wide" shoes. Then I bought these and they feel like they are specifically designed for narrow feet. Very uncomfortable. I am going to keep them though and hope they break in (Something I have never had to do with non leather sneakers), I got them so cheaply, its not worth trying to return.

Edit: Never mind, gonna return them. After an hour my toes were numb. I have never in my life had shoes that were this tight.

Haven't gotten to wear these on the trail since its been raining for three weeks straight lol. They fit a touch small....narrow to be more specific, but I think they'll be ok once they wear in a bit. They are canvas, so I expect them to stretch a little bit. More comfortable than Vans and highly recommended by everyone who owns them.
