Acronis offers only one month of support before they ask you to pay for support. Acronis 15 is a new program. However, I have experienced 20+ hour backup times which is unacceptable. There is no way to get support from the company, even email support, although I purchased the program on Oct.1, 2014, just 6 weeks ago. I have used Acronis software for years but I am no longer willing to deal with a company that puts out new software with obvious bugs and no support available except their inadequate knowledge base.

Update:I have been a long time investor in this company's products. I have upgraded it numerous times over the years. Less than two months ago, I upgraded again to Acronis True Image 15...for three computers...plus I purchased 250 GB of online storage. This was a substantial investment all by itself.
Less than 2 months after I made the investment, the product sold to me was not working properly, 20+ hour backups. When I looked on the Internet and on the Acrnonis site's knowledge base, there was no solution I could find.
When I went to the Acronis Support page to get support for the product sold to me weeks earlier, support for the product I had purchased was deemed expired. To get support, I was offered only the knowledge base, which I had already searched, and the forum, which is made up of users, not technical support professionals. To get support from the creators and sellers of their product, I would have to pay to talk to one of their technical support professionals to solve this issue with their product.
I have been investing in this company's product for many years. However, I am basically told - Too bad - We're not going to help you unless you keep paying us for the problem you are having with our product .

I would highly recommend avoiding 2015 at this time. I foolishly upgraded thinking it would solve the few minor annoyances I had with 2014.

But now I have a big mess. My formerly stable system has experienced several lockups requiring pulling the plug to reboot. I had to run an installation repair in order fix that and I'm fortunate that cutting power did not harm my Windows installation.

All my previous backup tasks are useless, I had to create new ones.

I've experienced failed backups due to to "decompression errors" and "read error or metadata content is corrupted", along with backups that just won't run with no explanation given. Tech support is aware of the issues and said they are working on them. As a temporary workaround, they even suggested that they could delete my entire cloud backup account and start a new one and then I could just upload hundreds of gigabytes of data again. Yeah, right.

Most of the detail that was available at a glance on the main screen is now gone, you no longer get any sense of which backup has run recently and very little detail about the backups. Instead, when you click on an individual backup, you get a giant pane in the detail section with a lot of empty space.

If you get an error while backing up, just try to find the log file to find out what went wrong, that's an adventure in itself.

Combine that with the delayed reaction with black screen when trying to click on things, and you get a bad experience all around.

Lots of additional problems that other users are experiencing, so save yourself a big headache and stick with a version that works, even if it's not perfect. This version is not ready for release.

I quite agree with this reviewer based on my own short-term experience with it. The program did not work on my Win 7 x64, instead it caused a lot of trouble and confusion on my part. I could not install it properly (unknown errors in opening files) or start it The program was not recognized despite being physically present in the program files. Shortcuts pointing to the .exe files did not work.

Overall I wasted about 3 hours and failed. Then decided it is not worth the effort to work around all the various bugs in this upgrade-release. I was hoping for a program that is functional. user-friendly and helps saving time. I got a program that wasted time. was not intuitive but confusing and apparently also quite inconsistent on my Win 7 x64 machine. There may well be machines on which this program runs perfectly, but mine is not among them.

Customer support from cleverbridge first told me, when I canceled within a few hours after purchase (electronic download), that I had to contact Acronis because they have an " excellent support page". But there was no obvious way to directly contact customer "care" and also no obvious phone number I could use. I reported this to cleverbridge and canceled again asking again for a refund. Then, to my surprise cleverbrige/acronis send an email informing me that they will send the refund to my credit card account.

Acronis True Image used to be quite reliable and easy to handle. I have used it since True Image Home version 8. But this is not the case with the upgrade to Acronis True Image 15, at least not when applied it to my Win7 x64 machine that runs various special programs flawlessly.

Based on my limited experience with the non-functional upgrade from True Image 13 to Acronis True Image 15, I cannot give it more than 1 star. However, the fact that I was promised in writing a refund, which is standard in the internet industry, may be encouraging.
