This record player cost less than a good stylus, but it does play music. As a gift for my 7 year old son, it is a delicate toy that I hope will last long enough for him to learn vinyl etiquette. The sound quality is what you would expect from a ceramic cartridge and tiny speakers. Vocals are intelligible and bass nonexistent, perfect for a child's bedroom. I will give it 5 stars for my purpose; an inexpensive way to teach my son the joys and responsibilities of vinyl playback, while protecting my own collection.
