I use it for the comfort of very young kittens. Fostering kittens occasionally requires taking care of orphans before they are able to keep themselves warm. This is the right size to fit in a small cage or box and the sweater cover prevents overheating.

This is a preface I put in all reviews that I make on Amazon. Anyone making a review should show the name of the vendor that they had their experience with as many vendors sell the same product, and the product reviews are a compilation of customer experience from all vendors. Reliability, delivery, customer service, the correct product, etc. to a great degree are a reflection of the vendor rather than the specific product. For example I purchased an item which many said took 3-4 weeks to receive because it was shipped from China but I received mine in three days. That is a big difference.

As to this specific item many said it took 3-4 weeks to receive. I purchased mine from the vendor HOME TOP on Dec 21 2014 and received it on Dec 24 2014. I actually purchased two of them and am very, very pleased with the hot water bottles. In fact I will be purchasing another one from them later this week.

I highly recommend you purchase the larger size water bottle (be sure to check the two options) as the water will remain warmer for a longer period of time and you have more flexibility with the larger bottle.

The female screw insert is metal and the male screw top is plastic. The bottle itself is made of rubber.

The woven blanket is a great accessory that also keeps the bottle warm for a longer period of time; however it also diminishes the direct heat to your body.

Here are some helpful hints because there are no instructions
1- fill the bottle 2/3 full
2- squeeze the remaining air out of the bottle before affixing the cap
3- tighten the cap gently
4- use only HEATED TAP WATER not boiled water

As someone who often has very cold feet all day long, this thing is a lifesaver for those cold nights; all you have to do is fill it with hot water from the sink, put it under your blankets and it's ready to go, no boiling needed. The knitted "sweater" that it comes in keeps the water hot for a longer time than without, and it's quite soft. If you fill it with really hot water, it holds the heat in for about three hours, and better yet, you won't burn your feet while using this, especially with the sweater on it. The lid screws into the bottle, which is great, so I won't have to worry about it leaking in the middle of the night. The only issue I had (although it's sort of a non-issue) is that the sweater looks a bit different from the picture shown; it only says "good night", not "good night gorgeous", which is kind of misleading, but not really a problem for me. Also, since it warms up the blankets, my old dog likes to lay over it and warm himself up, which is definitely an A+ for the both of us. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone with cold feet or a cold dog.

Good water bottle. Really cute cover, doesn't stay hot as long as my 2 liter water bottle (this one about 3 hours)but I expected that since it is smaller. This one is much easier to carry around concealed under my coat, I also really like the round shape. I'd recommend this water bottle if you're looking for one a bit smaller than 2 liter /2 quart is. I put a side by side comparison photo. Hope this helps

Adorable but a pain to use. If you leave the cover on and try to fill the bottle, the cover gets wet. If you take the cover off to fill the bottle, it's a pain in the butt to put back on!

had this for a few months now. I absolutely love this water bottle. I like that it's smaller than my old one, that it's purple, that it has a cover, and that the cover looks like an adorable strawberry.... so basically it's perfect. there is a bit of a rubber smell, but it's not overwhelming and I've never come across a hot water bottle that smelled any different. This one seems to be pretty high quality, with metal threading and no leaks. I would buy again and recommend to others.

I have used many other bottles before, cannot say that this is out of the world but yes, definitely, it is bang for the buck. Bought this for my wife, who complains of backaches and stomach aches. It also helps, when kept under arms, chest, shoulder, feets and between thighs. we have used many heating gels/\pads and trust me it is a very good replacement for those. It can be used during campings and short trips. Just be sure to use the hot/ warm water from tap, need not to boil the water and fill in the bottle.

Pros :

Water stays hot longer, around 2 hours
Strong and Sturdy
Rubber bottle with cover is definite plus and adds value (for people who are allergic to rubber)
colorful knit cover, keeps water warm a bit longer

Cons :

Woolen knit cover can get wet, while filling water. If you take it out and put it back again and again overtime, the cover will get loosened.
Little expensive then its counterparts on Amazon, but can't talk about other products on Amazon (have not seen/ used them )

Just be sure, not to fill the bottle completely and take the air out before clamping the hook on it. For longer life, clean it after use and dry before placing it back on the rack.
