I have purchased 2 other brands here on Amazon and I love to use the powder for my coffee when traveling. This is as good as the other 2. I decided to buy it to see if there was a difference, and to be honest they all taste and react to liquids the same. We travel to Mexico a couple of times a year, and for some reason Puerto Vallarta does not sell half n half. Cream powder is my answer to coffee in the morning for me. The key is to place the powder in your mug first, add a bit of hot coffee and stir,stir,stir. These powders really do a great job as creamers. I havent used them for anything other than coffee..I recommend this brand as well as the others. The hoosier brand does post on their label some instructions, as well as calories, carbs etc. Also there is an experation date, which I dont recall seeing on other brands.

After reading the reviews for several similar products, I ended up opting for the Hoosier Hill Farm cream powder. I normally use heavy whipping cream in my coffee, but needed a product for travel. Since I can only drink low-acid coffee, I have to bring my own coffee and a Bodum with me when I travel in order to get my fix. A three-week trip to China, Tibet, and Nepal necessitated that I bring everything I need with me. I figured if I could have at least one decent cup of coffee in the morning, my day would be better. Although other reviewers mentioned an issue with the powder clumping, I didn't have too many issues with that. The suggestion to add the powder to a small amount of coffee and really stir it in before filling the cup was a good one and worked well. This heavy cream powder quickly became a travel staple for me. I heartily recommend it!

For a powdered heavy cream, I was pleasantly surprised at the great taste, quality and versatility of this product, and I will definitely be ordering it again. But I think the instructions need to be changed; instead of instructing to mix in a blender, I had much better results when I stirred (NOT blended) in a container with lukewarm water. When I used my blender to mix/dissolve it, it left a bit of a foamy top, so after chilling, the foam part resulted in tiny little 'bead' like particles both in the cream and all up the sides of the container. But when I stirred it into lukewarm water, it dissolved very well, stayed very smooth and creamy, and was even thicker and more creamy after being chilled overnight. I also tried putting it in a jar and shaking it to dissolve, but that resulted in the same 'beads' that using a blender did. So I'm going to stick with stirring it, and highly recommend others doing so, too.

If you're on a low carb/high fat diet like keto, this is the BEST way to cream up your coffee when liquid heavy cream is impractical. I keep this in my desk at work so I don't have to use the crappy, carby, artificial creamer the company provides. It's very creamy with a slight butteryness that is quite pleasant. A little goes a long way, so one tub lasts me two months. The only (minor) down side is that it doesn't stir easily and likes to clump up if you just use a spoon. I bought a $6 battery-powered frother and that blends it perfectly in seconds.

I bought this to use in reduction sauces that require heavy cream. I prepared it as it says on the package (correct water ratio, blend, let it sit overnight in the fridge), and I could NOT get it to thicken on the stove. It just evaporates in the pan. I even tried adding less water. When used in baking (biscuits) and adding to coffee it does the job, but it will not boil and thicken up like regular heavy cream. Just a tip!
