I'm an old AutoCAD Lite guy with years and years of experience using it in the industrial machinery business
I'm not a full time designer - - I need to be able to sit down 5 times (or so) a month and punch out an idea or small design
2D suits my need as 3D is too expensive and has too steep a learning curve for my occasional needs
Used AutoCAD Lite (an older version) that worked fine until Windows 8 came along (ugh)
Bought new version of AutoCAD Lite to be compatible with Windows 8
What a pain in the butt the new version of AutoCAD Lite is - - really unhappy with it, but struggled for a year until I spotted Corel CAD
REALLY like the Corel CAD product by comparison - - easy to pick up - - intuitive - - some really nice mouse features - - nice printer interface
Does the job just fine
