Belkin has produced a good looking, well-designed, folio style case that keeps your iPad Mini secure with its stretchy silicone corners. The faux-leather construction is elegant and feels rich to the touch. It has a protective felt inner for the iPad screen. The cutouts on the back accommodate the camera and the second mic on the Mini 2 and 3 models.

Unlike other iPad covers, this cover does not feature grooves on the inside cover to set differing viewing angles. It is difficult for the case to hold a viewing angle as the iPad seems to slip or retract on the smooth felt. It does have one stable 45 degree angle for typing.

The magnetic cover works to switch the display on/off, but could be a little stronger to keep the cover from moving around.

Lastly, the cover does add significant bulk to the iPad. I wish it were just a tad bit thinner, but it is not significant enough to avoid this case.

Recommended - if you are looking for a folio style case and do not require multiple viewing angles

Pros:
* Well-constructed, well-designed, faux-leather folio case
* Plastic frame with silicone corners makes the iPad feel very secure
* Felt inner protects screen
* Good drop protection IF falls flat on back. Front cover provides marginal protection
* Attractive case colors and accents
* Affordable price-point

Cons:
* Additional inner frame adds thickness to the case
* Viewing angles cannot be set due to lack of grooves on inner cover
* Magnetic cover could be stronger to keep the cover in place.

This Belkin case is both functional and nice looking. The two tone color scheme is pleasing to the eye. Though the faux leather covers look a little too plasticky on the outside. The interior has a soft lining to protect the iPad screen. The iPad tray is made of hard plastic with a silicone catch at all four corners. It fits the old iPad mini as well as the new ones. However, the tray is not lined and since the fit can be very tight for the older, slightly thicker iPad mini, it's possible to get the back of the iPad scuffed during installation if you're not careful.

Once cased, the iPad mini can be positioned at varying angles in landscape mode. The cutouts in the tray (and in the back cover) allow full access to the controls as well as the back facing camera. The covers are firm and rigid enough to provide some protection against accidental bumps on the corners. The sturdy tray frame would also offer additional protection. The tray has a hidden magnet on the opening side to keep the front cover closed.

Overall, it's a nice looking case. It's rather uncommon to see a case that would fit three different generations of a tablet device. For the most part, this case has succeeded in doing so. It works well to protect the iPad mini against accident bumps, and to allow varying viewing angles. The only caveat is you need to be careful when you install the iPad mini in order to avoid scuffing it.

This is a professional looking, low-cost iPad mini case. The case is made of inexpensive fake-leather material, which seems relatively durable. It holds the iPad securely in place with plastic tabs that fit around the edges. There is no coverage around the edges, meaning nothing to interfere with plugs, but also nothing to keep dirt and dust out. The camera cutout is well positioned and sized, and doesn't interfere with images. There is a weak magnetic closure, which activates the auto on/off feature, but isn't strong enough to stay securely closed. The cover is made of stiff material, but wouldn't provide any great degree of protection if dropped or banged against something.

My biggest complaint is the viewing angles. The promotional images show the case with a low angle typing positon, which I am able to achieve and which is very sturdy. They also depict multiple reading/stand up angles, which I can't achieve with any reliability; there are no grooves on the case to hold it in place, and the cover doesn't fold and hold those positions easily.

If you are looking for an inexpensive, professional looking cover, don't need a lot of protection, and will primarily be typing, rather than reading, this is the case for you. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

I'm a Belkin fan, and this is a good case but I don't love it. On the positive side, it's lightweight, fits well, gives good protection and I like that it fits any version of the iPad mini as it gets annoying buying a new case for every upgrade. This is the first case I've seen that fits all three generations. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't like the viewing angle for watching TV and movies. For some reason, it seems too upright for me, and I cannot figure out how to get it to lean back a little further. Maybe with some use it will break in some. I do find the typing position comfortable with it folded back so it's at a low slant. It's just a personal preference and others may find the position works fine for them. The material is comfortable to hold and durable, but in the black it looks very generic. I do see it comes in a pretty bright color that looks a lot more fun and feminine. It's a good case, it's just not my favorite. So far, my Knomo is still my go to case for my mini but being real leather it gets dirty quickly, which I don't think would be a problem with the Bellkin.
