When they announced the New 3DS and plates, I knew I wanted this one. However, the U.S. never got the non-XL model with face plates until the Animal Crossing bundle came out. I couldn't resist tracking this down and buying it. The plates are easy to change and look great on the white New 3DS. The matte finish doesn't show fingerprints like the old glossy 3DS. I suggest buying from Pureride - their products are legit.

The faceplate is gorgeous, I love the matte finish and the colors are exactly as expected. Keep in mind this is for the New Nintendo 3DS, which is only available in the US via the Happy Home Designer bundle as of writing this review. It won't fit/work with any other 3DS.

Also be aware, this comes with a download code for a matching home theme but since this is an imported faceplate you can only download the theme on a Japanese region New 3DS. It will not work on any other region. So that's kind of a bummer. I sincerely Nintendo changes their region-locking for 3DS some time soon but if they haven't by now I doubt they will.

Love the plate! The image looks flawless and fits like a glove. The colors are vibrant and it comes very neatly packaged.

My only complaint is that the plate is a little flimsy, the plastic the cover plate is made out of isn't very durable from what I can tell. I suggest you CAREFULLY open the package and carefully apply the plates to your N3DS. But this is very minor as it's going to be on your N3DS.

If you're looking for a cover that looks great I highly recommend this!
