Holy Cow! This is a Monster Case. Massive and very Nice with all the features needed for my current build. Premium case with the ability to MOD. I could nit pick and say the Drive Lock system for 5.25 inserts come or pop off way too easy (used screws for mounting). I would recommend some type of cart or wheel setup for easy movement and bottom air flow. I used a yard stick in photo's for scale. I have bought many Tower's over the years for myself and clients but this has to be my absolute favorite. I will edit this post upon completion. I just recently finished my primo build a couple weeks ago and it was a pleasure to work with this case. Phanteks were pretty generous with the cable management accommodations that a lot of companies (if they have any) seem to include as an after-thought.
The case is massive and quite modular allowing you to pull panels to mount fans, radiators, etc with ease.
The included PWM hub works great and the LED strip along the edge of the case looks rad. Case looks like some futuristic 80's bladerunner type thing.
Only drawback was that the included reservoir mounting bracket wasn't drilled for the EK reservoir. Quite popular so a bit strange they'd not have the holes provisioned for that. There IS a top hole that works but for the lower res bracket, you need to measure and drill an extra hole. Not a huge deal but I wasn't expecting to have to do that.
If anything, I think that thicker side panels would have helped drop the noise a bit but there is enough room behind both the side panels that you can add sound deadening material if you want but I don't think it made much difference.
I had a hard time deciding between this case and a Caselabs SM8 but ended up getting this one because a lot of the cable and wire management was pre-done where as with the Caselabs case, I'd have had to come up with my own solution that probably would not have been as good as what Phanteks have done.
The only thing I wish Phanteks would have done differently was include a 3rd LED fan in the case at the rear exhaust instead of the non LED version. It's another one of those things I didn't anticipate and is required if you want everything to be all nice and matching.

The case I have to say is an amazing design concept for a first run. It's the only case I liked that has a really modern, clean look. This is a huge 50lb case (empty) that can eat my old one for breakfast. My goals for my case were space, design and scalability. I got this yesterday so I haven't yet started on my build.
The reason why I am giving it 3 stars is because of quality control. Upon inspection I discovered:
- The bottom of my case was a huge scratch in addition to a smaller ones. It did tick me off to see that considering how much it cost. Unacceptable.
- The paint job on the inside is lacking. Looking up close, I can basically see the black or whatever's under the red coat. In addition, there was a scratch on the inside. Seriously Phanteks? Paint the inside panels correctly, it needs another coat.
I plan to put some carbon fiber vinyl on the panel just to cover it up as seen in one of my photo examples.
- The fan on the front had a faint brown spot on it and it was a bit dusty.
Now yes, with a rag I can go in and wipe it down but when I purchase something new, that is what I expect.
I am almost afraid to peel the plastic off of the plexiglass because I don't want to find any scratches on it. Anything more and I will send it back. For now, we'll see.
Is this a bad case? No. I think most people will enjoy it. I just hope that the quality control is improved because I expected better.
