OMG I love this stuff. I was a carefresh fan until they changed the formula and had a crazy price hike. I figured I would try this as it seemed similar and was at a much better price. This is so much softer, not clumpy and no wood splinters! It absorbs way better as well. And my bunny loves it too! I will never go back. If you have a small animal this is the bedding to use.

Really nice bedding for my guinea pigs. We just switched over to this from Carefresh. Carefresh is pretty nice but they recently added some ingredients to their bedding that we did not like. This Oxbow product is very pure and free of nasty stuff. My guineas are really liking it and the amount of sneezing etc. that they do seems to have drastically gotten better. In fact they don't seem to be sneezing at all with this bedding! It is kind of pricey but a little goes a long way. It is really soft and the piggies can make nice nests out of it by pushing it around. It is also very absorbent and seems to get thicker as the days go by. Seems to have about zero "dust" in the air. The odor after being in use a few days is quite low and we all appreciate that.

my hedgehog loved it so much! she looked so much happier, her cage is 29'' x29'' and i fill all the floor and more inside her hideouts. i dont fill all her cage but a good amount on the floor so she doesnt touch the coroplast. this the third time i changed her cage and i still have for one more!
this is the first time i ever bought this product and i will get more soon. when the water touches the paper it expands, thid bedding controlled the odors very well!, when using fleece it was impossible to breath just in few days. i have switched from fleece to this because is easier and more hygienic than washing dirty/stinky fleece sheets!!! when its time to clean, i just need to scope everything to a bag and compared to fleece, now i dont need to see disasters(poop) underneath the fleece sheets , it doesnt go to the coroplast( my hegehog always used to be underneath it) i use some wipes with cleaning spray and after that i put a new batch of bedding and all her accessories back to her cage. btw i bought the 54L one.

This was our third bedding purchase in an attempt to find the perfect fit. This is perfect for us and our hamster! The hamster loves it because he can fluff it up and bury himself. The humans in the house like it because it's very absorbent and contains odors very well. We can easily go 1 1/2 weeks before changing out the bedding.

This bedding is awesome. Like the other reviews, I too have switched from care fresh. Care fresh says there's not a lot of dust, but that's a lie. This Oxbow bedding is virtually dust free! It's a lot softer, too. I see my piggy laying down so much more now. He's really happy with the new bedding and so am I. It's very absorbant and really odor controlling. For another positive, it's also cheaper than care fresh. I highly recommend this product. A definite buy again for me.

This is great for my rats, they are very happy with it. It's absorbent and works well for them. Keeps the odor down a lot. I have six rats per each 3 story Martin Cage and this helps them stay nice and happy and cozy. The brown color is kinda drab, but I don't think the rats care what color it is.

My hamster Speedy loves this bedding. It makes a nice fluffy "cave" for her to burrow into. I have a big hamster palace for her (it's really a giant ferret cage) and I put a LOT of bedding in it. She pees in the opposite corner from her nest/cave and this bedding soaks up the nastiness. I'll be ordering this again! It's a really HUUUUUGE bag.

So, I've heard of other brands claiming to be odor protectants, and I've bought several of them, but none of them have ever lived up to the hype with my mice or my Serbian hamster - until now.
I. Love. This. Bedding.
The paper pulp is light, but plentiful and does expand. Less is more and enough! The first week I used it, and it was cleaning day, we were shocked and surprised that our little critters habitats did not smell, I mean really - we started second guess ourselves on when was the last time we changed it, maybe we changed it earlier than we thought we did because there was no way that their tanks couldn't smell after a week, like they always had, right?!
But sure enough, that was the case. The bedding didn't stick to the tanks after being wet by urine and the mice and hamster were able to borrow in it like normal. This is our new go-to bedding. Decent price for how long it lasts, not too expensive and it actually does what it says it does!!!
If you are looking for a bedding without baking soda, one that will last a long time and is relatively cheap or at least reasonably priced, then look no further, Pure Comfort Bedding is the right bedding for you! (I know I just sounded like a commercial right there, but it fits).
