Another reviewer made a perfectly valid point: if you are a neatnik fanatic who cannot be pleased, this product will likely disappoint; as pretty much everything does, for that kind of person. If, however, you're not microscopic in your cleaning desires, this product is EXACTLY what the doctor ordered. You roll its non-sticky glob over any hard-ish surface including rubber -- and the Swiss-made, secret formula gell literally swallows the dust and surface grunge. I just cleaned -- in about 5 minutes, in its entirety -- a bike that had been gathering dust in my unheated garage at the end of a dirt road for a year. I cleaned the interior plastic surfaces of my paid-off Honda Civic Hybrid, 5 years without any grooming on the inside, in less than 10 minutes. Now those surfaces (including cup holders) gleam. This product is NOT for idealists and perfectionists. This product will make the rest of us slobs-who-wish-we-weren't ... SWOON with delight and a gratifying sense of unearned accomplishment. This product is easy to use. And effective. Making us look good, for almost no time invested. This is the future we'd hoped for. Embrace it.

I've been using Cyber Clean 25055 Home & Office Pop-up Cup - 5.11 oz. (145g) for about a year and I absolutely love the stuff. After using it on my laptop keyboard while visiting a friend last year, I ordered my own for home and the office (aptly named). T honestly never thought about using it in the car, but when I came online to order more I saw the newer version made exclusively for the car so I ordered it right away.

I immediately noticed a few things when I opened the package. Firstly, this "fresh mint scent" which had intrigued me in the product description was not noticeable at all. To me, this stuff smells just like the original yellow version. No biggy... I didn't buy this for the scent.

Next, it was absolutely denser than the original yellow version. I suspect it will hold up nicely in the car in temperature extremes, but I'll report back here if I experience anything unexpected with it. Being so dense, I did notice that it pills up if rubbed on car surfaces. It's very important to note that this only happens if used in this manner. Remember that the substance is supposed to be pressed and dabbed onto the surface you wish to clean; not rolled or dragged across.

I also suggest using this only after you've gotten the car reasonably clean to begin with. I didn't do that first and just went to town using the stuff. (I was excited to get started - what can I say?) That means it picked up A LOT of debris. I most likely shortened the lifespan of this particular order, but live and learn. I bought previously at an office supply store. Since it's stiffer, I decided to test it on my blow dryer air intake area which had the potential to overheat since nothing could get out the dust...and it worked nicely. Put it back in the jar for the next scuzzy little area to clean.

The automotive version of Cyber Clean is much more firmer than the regular (yellow) version; making it harder to clean things like cup holder rims, air vents, and other crevices. After two tries of using this product, I threw it out and used the regular Cyber Clean to get the job done. I highly recommend the original, yellow Cyber Clean for all jobs (computer, household, and car-related) and steer clear from the blue, automotive version.

This product literally did nothing. It did not clean any crumbs or dirt on any surface I tried it on. I would highly recommend not wasting your money and instead investing in a higher quality of cleaner.

This version does not work as well as the yellow cyberclean. It seems 'less sticky.' I don't know if that is intentional or it the jar we received was too shelf-aged. But, in any event, I plan to continue using the yellow version only.

Remember that snotty slime your kids played with that was nasty and got all over your hands. This is the same thing with some smelly juice in it which makes it even more useless. It might pickup dust particles, but you'll have to clean up the residue it leaves behind. Wouldn't buy again.

In spite of the negative reviews I found this stuff great for removing dust or other particulate dirt from everything. It works good on electronics, in automotive crevices, and just about anywhere that's hard to clean. The big caveat is that it won't pick up dirt that's liquid residue or the like--usually just hair and dry particulate matter.

I've found the best way to use this is to break off a chunk of the "slime" (it does remind me of the old Green Slime toy I messed with as a kid) about a sphere the size of a quarter is round (a large marble or about 1.25"/3cm in diameter) and then *roll* (not rub) it into the surface and crevices. Certain jobs like automotive vents my require more of the substance. As it rolls it picks up any particulate matter. As it gets dirty all you have to do is knead the dirty skin of the goop to the inside and it's ready to go again. If you try to rub it, the slime break off of itself and leaves small chunks of it (even though the slime will pick those chunks up). As such, I think the best way to use is to roll it.

The odor, while not "good" is not offensive.

The lost star is the jar this stuff comes in. Size-wise it's about 2.5" in diameter, by about 2" tall and carries about half a handful of goop. Even though IMHO that's enough to do a few jobs with it--the flip-top latch mechanism is busted from the factory--so much so that I broke the "level" off just trying to open it--it's easier to unscrew it.

Overall I'd recommend--especially if your car or other electronics get quite dusty. I would be hesitant to use these on any circuit board, however.
