Wow, this is one confused listing. It says in the item title 12 watts, in the details 20 watts and 2400 lumens, while on the box it says 19.6 watts and 1200 lumens. It also looks in the picture like it has a wrap around diffuser, but it doesn't- just the bottom panel. And the product description says it mounts flush when it is obviously a surface mount. The one accurate spec is the 4K color temp, which does seem about right- very cool white but not quite bluish.

It's a bit challenging to line this up as a retrofit to an existing ceiling electrical box since it has a limited range of rotational adjustment relative to the screw positions in the box, especially if you are attaching it to a 2 screw box (if it were round this wouldn't matter, but it's, uhh, not round). Also, the LED power supply inside the fixture is placed so it casts a shadow on the diffuser at one end of the fixture due to the LED's being mounted on a strip running down the middle of the metal enclosure (i.e. on the bottom of the enclosure and right over where it mounts to the electrical box). By putting screws into my ceiling, I was able to mount this, but you really shouldn't have to do that for such a small fixture. Because the diffuser isn't wraparound, the light output cuts off sharply at 90 degrees, so if you expect to light up the top shelf in a pantry (like I did) it doesn't quite do that.

This is being used to replace a 24" two tube florescent fixture, and it is an improvement in light output, color, plus (almost) instant on, and it is relatively attractive, but no way is this worth the $50 price it is selling for as of 11/2015.

I wanted to add additional lighting to my garage and this fixture seemed to fit the bill. Install was straightforward - the electrical/mechanical connection to the ceiling box is in the center of the fixture. The light is bright and the ~4000k color temperature is not too blue for a garage/shop, though my personal preference is for warmer color light in the house. The light does have a delay of about a second after flipping the switch before it comes on; since it is not the only light in the garage this isn't a big issue for my use.

Bought three of these at the local home improvement warehouse to install in closets where my builder wall mounted undercounter CFLs. The CFLs took awhile to come on, flickered when anything moved in the closet, just a bad situation all around. At 1200 lumens, these provide nearly twice the light output of the old fixtures.

These are really meant as a drop-in replacement for ceiling or wall mounted "shop lights" but the finish is nice enough for my application. There is also a 48" model that is about $20 more. I almost wish I used a 48" in one installation, but the 24" is still a great improvement from the 18" CFL fixture it replaced.

Now, on to the bullets.

Pros:
- Nice and bright!
- Diffuser is effective at spreading the light around the closets.
- Super simple install. There are 4 holes for screwing into drywall if you don't want to mess with affixing it to the junction box.
- No assembly required. I installed 3 of these in about 20 minutes.

Cons:
- they do take a little while to come on, maybe 1/2 second.
- 4000k is cooler white than I would prefer. The rest of my house is 2700k so these don't match.

I bought this to replace a fluorescent fixture mounted on the wall above my closet door. I am very happy with the amount of light it emits--it seems a lot brighter than the 48" fluorescent fixture it replaced. I had some installation issues, though, due to the fact that I mounted it on the wall instead of the ceiling.
Ceiling outlets are round, and the fixture had two screw holes positioned for a round outlet. A wall outlet is rectangular, so the screws were too far apart to fit the holes in the fixture. Even if they had fit I would not have been able to rotate the fixture enough to slide the screws into their grooves, due to how close the fixture sat to the ceiling. I hooked it on the screw at the top of the outlet, then had to add two butterfly anchors (toggle bolts) at the sides of the fixture to hold it tight. No big deal--there were holes there in the fixture. I was able to install it myself no with no trouble while my husband was out of town.
Another thing I'd like to mention is that when I first saw the fixture I thought, "Where are the lights?" It looks just like a fluorescent fixture without bulbs. The lights are a thin strip of little gold rectangles attached to the inside back wall of the fixture. Hard to believe how bright those little guys are!
