Great fit for narrow feet.

Great shoe for narrow feet. Size 11 b/c. I had purchased Adidas Barricades on Amazon. Liked them until they stretched a bit then I began sliding around in them. I started to get tendonitis in my left achilles and pulled my right calf. I decided to try a few shoes on at a store to see if I could get a better fit. I tried the new Barricades, Prince t22, Prince Warrior (my second choice) and the Babolat Propulse. I had never thought about trying Head shoes before. These are on a higher level as far as fit and comfort. I was always trying ways to get my foot to fit the shoe: thor-lo socks, supports and liners, etc. These fit my foot instead. The price is higher than I wanted to go - I rarely pay more than 80 bucks for a pair of shoes - but after two plays I can already tell they are working really well for me. Before, I had to cut back my playing because of soreness and injury. Now I feel like I can play more without fear of injury. I do not regret spending the extra money on these.
I would say if you are a narrow or medium width these would be great for you. A wide foot might fit too tight.

This is a review from someone who used to play a lot of tennis and doesn't anymore, however, normal running shoes have never been as comfortable for me as tennis shoes so I decided to give these a try (not for running mind you, but for walking around). I got them on the red/yellow scheme and they are LOUD, doesn't bother me but take into account when deciding to buy or not.

Super comfortable, Im usually a 11.5 on most shoes, 12 on these. Feel solid under my feet and can already tell they'll survive years of punishment.

Why tennis shoes? Because they tend to have more toe room than running or normal wear shoes and the soles are more straight which I like, its a preference thing, wouldnt use them for running, but for their intended purposes and for walking around, they are a hit.

Superior Shoe with a Specific design

These shoes are specifically designed for playing sports, particularly racket sports, but they would still make a great everyday walking, work or basketball shoe if the design is acceptable. One of the first things I noticed about this shoe was the superior craftsmanship and design. They are not your average, run-of-the-mill gym shoes. They look like they could take a lot of abuse and still last a long time. I was lucky to get these on a special deal at Woot, but I would be willing to pay more for this type of quality. I have bought several pairs of athletic shoes lately that have prematurely separated at the soles and quality has become a top priority in my purchases. If you take a close look at the pictures, especially the side views, you can see the quality I am referring to. I think a lot of us are learning that cheaper isn't always a good deal if something doesn't last.

Two of the main design differences from other athletic shoes are the amount of lateral support and the durability on the front and sides of the shoe. In order to have superior lateral support and keep your feet from sliding inside the shoes, during rapid movement and sudden change of directions, they must "wrap" around the foot. This is where people will differ on their opinion of the shoe. Some people will find the firm support around the foot great and others may find them too restrictive. The enhanced lateral support is great for preventing the shoe from rolling to the sides and would also help people suffering from any sprains or strains in the feet or ankles. Basically these shoes are designed to keep your foot in the proper position throughout all kinds of extreme movement. They feel like a "compression" shoe.Read more ›

A snug high performing shoe with good suport

The shoes have great support and are well made. The fit is very snug. I have medium width relatively flat feet, so I would imagine that these would be too tight for someone with more foo volume. Not something to lounge around but great for aggressive action on the court. I expect them to loosen up a bit once they get worn in.

Will Loosen Up but a Little Narrow at first

Love these shoes. They will fit a little on the narrow side due to the mesh/neoprene insert. Took me a 3 to 4 paddle matches to loosen them up but they play nice. Very sturdy. Love Head tennis/paddle shoes.

Very good shoes

Wonderful shoes! This is a first class effort by Head tennis. They are kind of bright but hey they still feel good on my feet. I have used them for tennis and basketball and still no signs of wear. They seem to breath very well.

Never buy before you try!
