Nothing beats the french press. I own a Keurig espresso and cappuccino maker, single serve Keurig, Cuisinart grind and brew, and a regular drip...yes I am a coffee lover. I had fallen in love with the French Press after Starbucks was offering free samples using their press. The cost for their press was $80 so I decided to wait. I was very excited when I was able to purchase the Procizion 34 oz press during their promotional sale. Best decision I ever made. Unlike even the Starbucks press, Procizion's french press offers a very smooth process to a great cup of coffee. The best part is NO GRINDS..and I have been using it for over a week, several time a day. It has a very nice design, the metal frame is nice for protecting the glass. The handle is wide and sturdy. The lid stays on great and you get a nice smooth pour from the spout. It is very easily to clean...much easier than my others I have mentioned before. There is no water to get trapped in the tube, requiring a vinegar rinse and wash, etc. Just a nice brew every time. I think this would be a great gift especially for college students who might need the great coffee without a lot of hassle.

So far I am very pleased with this item. It arrived without incident, well wrapped and boxed. I prefer to make my coffee in a cafetiere or French Press and have used several "value" (cheap) ones in the past. The plunger always ends up coming apart and/or not fitting quite tightly enough in the glass, allowing some grounds to escape. So I tried this one and am happy to discover that the plunger fits very tightly and does not allow any bits of grit to find their way into my cup. I am also very pleased that it came with 2 extra mesh replacement strainers, as they are usually hard to find and inordinately expensive. My 20 oz coffee maker makes just the right amount for a very large cup of coffee (approx 14 oz.). It certainly compares favorably with Bodum and the other overpriced cafetieres on the market, but is vastly superior to the cheap ones.

I really like this French Press coffee maker. The triple filter holds back all but the finest silt which doesn't amount to much. The flavor is truly full and richer or what ever word you may like to use to describe the flavor. I got here from using a Bunn-o-matc drip filter maker, to placing a gold screen filter in the Bunn's carafe and pouring boiling water into the carafe for the four minute brew, which left a lot of sediment but tasted better. The paper filters absorb and hold essential oils of the coffee reducing the full flavor. The french press allows the oils to pass through to you. When it comes to coffee I'm a lite weight. I saw some serious tar stewing in the kettles during my 20 years in the navy. I like coffee to taste like the aroma you get when you open the bag and smell the grind. Just a splash of whole milk and it's great for me. Since the French press should not be placed on a direct heat source, I wrap a kitchen towel around it during the four minute brew to keep the temperature hot and pour the unused brew into a thermos. This little maker is great.

I purchased this French press for my desk at work, as I find K-cups to be terribly wasteful and not the way I prefer my coffee to be brewed anyways.
This handy little press takes up very little room on my work desk and makes coffee in a jiff. I appreciate that they included an additional filter and a coffee scoop. When filled to its maximum, it makes about two 8 oz. cups of very strong coffee (I definitely start my day feeling absolutely WIRED after a cup using this press), which is the perfect size for me and my cubicle buddy. Additionally, the press is sleek and overall a nice appliance to look at (weird, but whatever-it's true!).
I like that they provided detailed instructions on the outside of the box for first time users, in addition to a manual, although the process is simple enough to pick up after your first couple of uses. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, and would definitely recommend this to a friend, or purchase this as a gift for someone else. When I am ready to upgrade my current coffee maker at home, I might consider buying the larger version of this press.

P.S. Delivery through Prime was speedy and on time, and I was contacted by a sales rep from Procizion inquiring about how I liked my purchase so far, so they also get an A+ for great customer service.

Sorry it does not work good. I made a mug full and it left good coffee in the bottom and I don't care how slow you go you get the mud. Those screen type filters I have tried them on an aeropress did the same. With a paper filter the aeropress works great. I do not think the designers of these screens understand the concept of how the old coffee pots work. They have very few holes for the water to drip on the grinds in an old drip coffee pot. There is no pressure on the grinds and once they get wet they stick together and just gravity feed slowly. Sure you can at first get very little fall in the pot, but very little. There is no way you can grind coffee and not get some fines. So paper is just better for that reason. Your french press leaves some precious coffee oils laying in the bottom and I found my coffee weaker then when I make it in a one cup coffee maker or the aeropress. Sorry those screens suck and I'd have to make 2 cups to even begin to put pressure on the coffee. And I know if I did that I would have to pour it through a paper filter. Had to anyway.
