Another good product from Quest

I'm a huge fan of Quest's protein bars. I especially love the 17 g of fiber (depending on flavor) in most of them. Wish they had that kind of fiber in these protein powders, but none of the others do, so I guess it's something difficult to add to a blend-able powder. I have both the chocolate and the vanilla. The nutritional stats are a bit different. Since the nutrition labels were not on the product page when I looked, here's what's on the label:

Pretty Good Stuff

Flavor Name: Vanilla MilkshakeSize: 2lb Tub

Vanilla:
This is the best tasting vanilla protein powder I have tried. Whey protein has the tendency to have an awful smell and flavor. I can still tell that this is a protein shake but the taste is not bad. The vanilla flavor tastes a little fake. I blended mine with ice and a little milk to try and replicate a vanilla milkshake. This will be a good base if I want add fruit to my shake.

My canister did not come with a scoop so I had to guess how much powder to use. I have no idea what a serving size actually is because it is measured in scoops.

UPDATE: I contacted Quest the next day and they responded promptly. One scoop is equal to two tablespoons. Good to know.

It tastes good mixed with yogurt or pureed strawberries.

Peanut Butter:
I just tried the peanut butter protein powder. It is very good. It has a very smooth texture. Like most protein powders, it tastes better mixed with milk than water. I like it better than the vanilla. The powder has a very different texture than the vanilla so the scoop is larger. At 40 calories fewer than Syntrax Matrix Peanut Butter Cookie, I think this is my new choice.

UPDATE: This was good on the first day. I became sick of it very quickly, probably within a couple days. I can barely tolerate the smell.

Chocolate:
This is probably the best flavor they make. It mixes very well. So far I have only had it with milk, but I will try it with water as well to get a better idea of the true flavor. I am guessing that it will be great blended with ice.

UPDATE: This is good with water, milk, or a mixture of both. I prefer to make it really thick, but it tastes good however it is made. I never got to try it with ice. I sometimes make it very thick and eat it like pudding.

The only flavor I don't like

I'm a fan of a lot of quest products but the chocolate flavor protein powder is not my favorite. Peanut butter flavor is much easier to drink and tastes better.
