We put these in our new state of the art office center. They brilliant. It's so convenient, hygienic and personal - your very own healthy water cooler at a arms leanth away. The filter makes the water tast better than bottled water, it's true we laughted at first but we checked with a group and had a fun bottled water taste test. It's also well made. Besides the big saving on bottled water ( you just fill it at the tap) no more polluting trucks delivering water with their delivery personal all over the office. Our best move yet- we all love out little luxury: and I am losing weight not drinking so much sugar loaded sodas, tea and coffee!! I think it's brilliant. Actually all our staff think it's brilliant too!

Well, don't I feel special? Seriously! Having this special little appliance in our kitchen is really fun as well encouraging for us to all drink even more water. It has the appearance and feel of something quite sophisticated, so when I first removed it from the box I was a little intimated to start setting it up for fear of doing something wrong. I went straight to the instruction book looking for the typical, "Quick Set-Up Instructions" section, but there was none. I had to scan the booklet a few times to find the set up instructions I needed since there was no clear "Start Here" section. But, my frustration ended there and once I took the time to read everything slowly, the information was there and it was so easy to do! Basically, this how you set it up:
1. Rinse the filter under water until charcoal dust is flushed out and water runs clear (and then return filter to its designated spot).
2. Wash water bottle and lid with mild dish detergent then fill bottle to top and replace cap.
3. Wipe out the interior of the reservoir on the base with a clean, wet cloth and them move the base to its permanent location.
4. Invert water bottle and place on top of base. (Mine did drip just a little when turned upside down, but not really an enough to be an issue)
5. Plug unit in, turn on power switch and wait about 40 minutes for the temperature to drop. (It will also take a few minutes for any water to come out of the spout so don't think yours is broken if you try to get water out right away.)
That's it! We're in business and loving this thing!

I absolutely love this product!!! It holds so much water and the water tastes delicious. It is like you are drinking from a natural spring. It has that same fresh, crisp taste to it. Also, the water temperature is exactly right. I used to have a Brita, but this beats it hands down. First, it is small enough to fit perfectly on my desk, so I do not have to worry about going to and from the fridge. Also, because it holds 1.8 gallons of water, it lasts a long time and it is permanently cold. It also uses charcoal to filter the water, which is the best and most efficient way of filtering water.

I have recommended it already to a bunch of my friends and they are loving theirs. So happy I found this product.

Water bottle needs better thread attatchment to the cap. The valve in the cap does tend to leak water when the bottle is put on the base. When bottle has been inserted into the base it does not leak. Digital LED water temp indicator is to bright for bedroom use. I covered it with black tape but the entire base now has a faint blue glow from the digital LED water temp indicator. The unit does not have silent operation as stated in the ad on Amazon, while it is quieter than a refrigeration compresser unit there is still noise emitted from the cooling fan. The fan noise may not be noticed in a office but in a quiet bedroom it is. Overall the unit appears to work well. I do not know about how long it will last since it only has a one year warranty and I'm on my second bottle of water. Filters need to be changed every couple of months and are recomended to be replaced once a month for clean, healthy, great tasting water. The unit needs to be cleaned every 3-6 months using some type of cleanser.

I've only had it a couple of months, no issues, replaced bottled water delivery. The capacity isn't huge, perfect for just me, filling it once a day when I have visitors, no big deal. I would easily recommend this to a friend. It is not without some quirkiness, small potatoes, and in no way impacts performance. Has already paid for itself.

The cooler came ready to use. We cleaned the water container, inserted the filter and we are good to go. We have been using this cooler for about a month now and it has not given us any issues. There is a small digital display that tells us how cold the water is. On a full fill up it does not take the cooler long to get the water temp down. The water tastes great, no after taste. Our kids enjoy it and drink it with no complaints. There is very little noise coming from the unit (small amount of warm air blows on each side of the cooler). Refilling the water is super easy not like the large ones where you have to be careful not to spill when putting the container on the cooler. The cap keep the water in place and does not come out until its sitting on the cooler.

Only con so far is the price, its a bit over the top but makes up for it in function.
