These magnetic holders are fantastic. Third version of one that I've purchased and it holds my Galaxy S5 just fine. Just remember that if you flail around like my son and hit it with your knobby knees then it may just get knocked off... but it doesn't come off without reasonable force to knock it off...

So far so good on 2015 Prius C. A few things I learned:
- this is a far better option than any other vent, dashboard surface or windshield mount I tried
- had to use the lower of the two slots in the vent: the upper one doesn't make for a stable mount
- first put the metal plate on the inside of the phone case; that didn't work, too weak: the phone would rotate when the car was in motion; I was scared it'd bounce off of it - then I put the plate on the outside of the case (skin), and it made for a much more secure lock

I have the suction cup one and love it, thought I'd give this a shot.

It works great when it works. Unfortunately the magnet is strong, and the vent-holding is not. It pulls out of the vent all the time.

I love it for those that have cases on their phone I removed the glue from the piece for the phone and super glued it to the back side of the case and it works splendid. It's so thin you hardly notice it on the back of the case

This is a great mount for phones. It is a strong magnet. I like that out fits in the vent because it I am using my GPS on my phone, the phone can become hot, especially if I have it plugged into the charger. On the vent, I can run the ac to cool the phone and keep me cool as well.
