Was hesitant to buy due to lack of good reviews so I called KaraokeCenter in Canada to ask how it was and he said it worked good.
So I took a leap of faith and bought one as I could find no other solution for mixing HDMI with audio on the cheap.
You see my wife likes Karaoke and I have a tablet and also a MINIpc with XBMC or Kodi so I can either send karaoke videos through my Stereo receiver and TV either way, but when I wanted to mix Mic audio at the same time that was the problem.
Well installing this unit between my receiver and minipc or tablet is just two hdmi connections plus power.
How did it work?
Perfect....
The mic is very good quality, the sound is very good for voice, in fact cannot be much better unless you have invested thousands.
I turned the song audio off and left the mic volume on and there is just the slightest hum at higher volumes but it is almost imperceptible unless you are a fanatic and in a normal use situation no distortion is heard.
The echo effect works fine and again no distortion from using this at all. On the spec sheet it mentions it is a yamaha chipset and it worked great I found though I tended to not use it in the end unless you want a concert hall effect.
So ya, go buy it it is worth it and no idea about those other peeps who maybe have feedback loops in their home wiring, but then again they prob have no idea what I am talking about anyways, lol.

Bought this because it's the only karaoke mixer that has HDMI ports for use with my apple TV and receiver at home. I was a bit dissappointed at the performance of this mixer. It buzzes loudly (emits a buzzing noise through my speakers) when I place it next to some of the other electronic devices in my living room (apple tv and xbox) -- the buzzing diminished to an tolerable level when I moved it away from the other devices. I would have put up with that, but what I could not put up with was the fact that the dynamic range of this mixer is very limited. Music and vocals that pass through this machine sound very "compressed" and "clipped" -- not very pleasing at all. The clipped effect takes the fun out of any karaoke party.

For functionality, it works fine.

Don't plan on using the echo. Echo has a lot of static on minimum settings.

Cool thing it was a ease to setup. HDMI port does not distort picture quality to output to TV.

We made the best of what we had.

Is working OK for what I wanted to do...add mics to a HDMI Chromecast connection. I have not used the included mics, but have a simple Pyle wireless setup with a 8 input mixer. There doesn't seems to be a sync issue or delay on the Youtube video, but there is some noise from the mics. Hard to tell if it's just the mic, wireless feed, mixer, Acesonic or the whole package. I would say this should be about a $40-$50 product for what you get, but overall it does what it should.

I purchased this item solely to use the HDMI to HDMI signal path. The basic function does work, that it blends the microphone signals with the input HDMI source. There are however 2 major problems, that render the unit unusable in such configuration:
1. There is slight delay of about 500ms, which results in amplified voice being behind
2. There is a significant hum added to the HDMI signal (this is much less of a problem, than #1, but still significant)

This mixer is a joke...The only reason I bought it because it had HDMI input and output but the sound quality of the mixer itself is very poor. I wonder why even they have provided echo knob at all? from 0 to almost 99 there is no change in echo and once you put it to full...there is double voice with lot of statics. I just received it 2 hours ago and tasted right now once got back from work...it's going back first thing in the morning tomorrow as return.

I was so excited when I finally found an HDMI mixer! With all of the smart TVs and audio systems, this is greatly needed. It works, but only the basics. If you go from a simple source(laptop) directly to an audio/video device, then it works. I guess they did not advertise anything beyond that, so it does what it says. It does not support ARC or CEC. This was a big problem for me. I was successful at working around that and got the basic audio and video working, but the audio quality was not sufficient. I tried using the analog audio ports instead and got it working with better sound quality. There might have been a delay in both digital and analog configurations, but that is difficult to quantify, so I would say there is no noticeable delay. I was considering sending it back due to the HDMI shortcomings. After inviting a couple people over for a second opinion, and singing karaoke till 2 am, I decided it was worth the money. It's all about expectation management.

It works BUT it has very horrible sound quality. Even with the volume turned to max it gives out a muffled sound. Tried everything! Even the instructions say to power it on before connecting he hdmi cables, which we did, and it was still poor quality sound. Disappointing that we have to return it and lose out on shipping costs back to the US from Canada.
