    I've only several pairs of Salomon XA Pro variations and have always loved them. The TS CSWP winter boot is no different, great quality and craftsmanship. The thinsulate insulation is great and definitely keeps my feet warm.

    Several concerns, first, the sizing. I have always been a 9.5 M in the Salomon XA Pro series and I feel these are 1/4 inch too big - my heel slightly slips. I may mitigate this by wearing a thicker sock and using my Superfeet insoles. I'm not sure if ordering a 1/2 size down would help and not sure if it's just a characteristic of this shoe. Second, the arch support is good enough, however, I'm someone with slightly flat feet, so I require a bit more support. I would say, in general, someone with a normal arch would have enough arch support for prolonged wear; for me, I need to use Superfeet (green) insole and can go all day.

    Bought these for a friend who lives in Pittsburgh and he says they are excellent for when it snows.

    I tried them on myself and at first I thought it was too snug for me (we have same shoe size) but then I figured that I rather have it be snug then to be loose and have snow get in. Friends thought they fit comfortably and worked for the snow when walking to campus.

    They also look nice and stylish.

    I love these boots. Their well made. I can wear them all day long. They got me through Snowzilla 2016. Their great in snow, I wore them while digging my car out of 3 feet of snow. Their warm, and waterproof.

    I'm very resentful of these shoes. I'm a 28 year old guy who has never had issues with my feet or legs. After wearing these boots for a month and standing in them all day, I developed Achilles tendinitis. I speculate the reason is because these boots are very stiff and do not allow my feet move. It's like they are in a cast, which ultimately weakened my feet and tightened up my calves - resulting in strain on the Achilles.

    boots take a few days to break in. A few chafe spots were fixed with a heat gun and medium compression clamps. Overall I Really like the boots in snow.
