I have two pairs of Solomon running shoes that I love. I bought these thinking they would fit the same way. But they are shorter and wider and too small. Not all size 12 Solomon shoes fit the same way and I expect it depends on the model you buy that makes a difference. Hiking shoes might be sized different than running shoes.

Amazon made it easy to return my shoes and paid for return shipping and a full refund. So, I am glad I gave them a try.

Awesome Shoes!

I usually wear a 10.5, if I would've ordered a 10 they would've been fine, but the fit is still great. I bought a pair of SpeedCross 3's in October for a shooting competition, they were awesome. I wore them for two days straight, I walked more than 15 miles between the two days and my feet never hurt. I normally can't go a mile without some pain. So when I found these on Amazon in December, I ordered them too. They are my favorite casual shoe ever. I'll buy more.

Fit and size problems

When I saw that Salomon was making a road shoe I was very interested. I have a pair of Speedcross trail shoes that are hands down the best fitting shoes Ive ever owned. Ive been a runner most of my life and run about 30 miles a week so fit is a big deal. I started with a size 9 since thats what size my Speedcross are. Trying them they felt a tad too big. I took them on a 8 mile run and they felt ok but still a bit too big. I noticed other reviewers mentioned needing a half size smaller than normal. So i sent the 9s back and ordred a 8 1/2. Got them in and immediately noticed they fit to small. Nevertheless i tried another 8 mile run and they hurt. So it looks like Salomon screwed up on sizing, which is very disappointing. Im going to stick with my asics gel kayano, ive been in them for 8 years and have never had an issue. If you want to give the xscream a try i hope it works out. But if they dont work out, it will likely be a size/fit issue.

Not good

I have been buying Salomon shoes for the past ten years and can't say enough about them but this model is the worst show I have worn. My legs ache and the shoes feel clunky when walking. I'll be returning them

Disappointed

Serious tread wear after only about a month and half of use. Semi-minimalist type shoe as is there is not an abundance of cushion. When purchased in July 2015 these were being sold between $70-$125. It is definitely a $60-$70 shoe and not meant for everyday use. Switched to Brooks and was much more satisfied.
A swing and a miss for Salomon with the X-Scream 3D.

Great running shoe.

A very comfortable running shoe. Quick lace system is easy and convenient. Great for running on the street and it also does decent running through the woods. It's a good in between shoe if you run both. But of you mainly run trail might be better with a shoe with more tread. Hope this review helps.

Not what I'm used to…

I purchased a pair of these Salomon Men's X Scream 3D Running Shoe, Grey and they are the worse Saloman shoes I have ever purchased. After just an hour after putting them on my feet start to hurt. I have over a dozen pairs of Saloman shoes, mostly TechAmphibians and X Screams and never an issue - love 'em. But this pair is different, built cheaply, perhaps the pair I purchased from Amazon was a knock-off. I waited too long to try them out & can't return them so, it is what it is, but it's a lot of money to throw away.

Runs a little small. Good looking, moderate priced shoe.

Got a half size larger. Good fit. Not a narrow as other Solomon running shoes. Fairly light weight. I use for workouts and casual wear.

Great shoe...A bit snug first few times of use.

Shoes a little narrow for my feet but hopefully will stretch a bit over time. Salomon make an excellent product and will continue purchasing Solomon shoes.
