O.K. I have to admit I suffer from SAS (stick aquisition syndrome). These retractable brushes are a little heavier than some other similar retractable brushes I' ve used. These are useable on snare drums and cymbals as well as on cajons and other hand drums. On drum kits these are a nice alternative to wire brushes and a lighter alternative for use on cajons than those big fat cajon brushes or broomsticks. I like these a lot but having said that I like more I love having a lot of choices for which sticks to use for whatever song comes up. Specifically, these meinl brushes are quality made, have a nice balanced feel and are reasonably priced. I consider it a nice investment and another great addition to my "arsenal" of sticks & brushes.

These are perfect for shuffle type percussion on the Meinl Cajon. They are lightweight, well balanced, and appear well made. They sound perfect with the Cajon, especially for soft rhythmic beats, and are a nice compliment to using the Cajon hands only. I found that having the adjustable length of the brushes allows for a nice change of sound, including a deepening sound, or even a 'beat' with stick only, especially when targeting the bass section of the Cajon.
These bring a nice variety of sound to the Cajun and make a versatile instrument (Cajon) even more versatile, and allow for a pleasant "shuffle" pace sound that goes so nicely with Americana, folk, and country blues music. If you like the "unplugged sound", a la Clapton, these sounds really nice with the Meinl Cajon.

I'm not a huge fan of retractable brushes, but these work well. One of mine is a little "tangled", for lack of a better word, which makes the bristles be a little bit clumped. Great sound and much better on the wood than my steel jazz brushes.

I used these for a swing beat for Jazz charts on my Pearl Cajon. Pearl uses a fiberglass front panel so I was using wire brushes at first and switched to the CB2s. The made a really nice sound that is very similar to the wire brushes and probably sound better on the "swish" strokes. The CB2s are weren't as stiff as the wire brushes so I don't get a springy rebound that I like. Overall they give an excellent brush sound on the Cajon and will help me save the face of my drum in the long run.
