This device is ridiculously small. I bought it so it can be hooked up to our TV system (need the RCA plug adapter to hook it up to our DVR so at the moment, it is plugged into our receiver). The pro is that it supports aptX which should cut out on some of the lag. We tested it with the Plantronics K100 which is not an aptX bluetooth receiver, but there is only a slight lag. If we listen to both the TV and the bluetooth speaker at the same time, it's only slightly noticeable and not so noticeable that it would drive me crazy to have both on at the same time. That's how little the lag is. (Clarification: I'm not saying I would be ok to listen to both sources simultaneously, it's just that it's not the type of lag which makes it impossible to do so, though.) I plan to get an aptX bluetooth receiver and see if it eliminates the lag altogether.

Another positive for this device is that you can charge it and play audio at the same time. It seems like this is not possible with some transmitters. All in all, a great purchase. And did I mention? It's ridiculously small?

I have wanted something like this for years! I received my iClever® IC-BTT03 2nd Gen Wireless Portable Stereo Music Bluetooth Transmitter and Adapter/Dongle today, and while it did indicate that it had a charge, I popped it on the charger to make sure it had a full charge and then plugged the audio tip into the non-bluetooth television. Instantly, I was hearing the television through my bluetooth headphones.
I bought this to use with my iPod Shuffle (again, sadly, non-bluetooth), and I love now being able to move around with NO WIRES! I connected it very easily to my iPod (I simply turned both items on--that was it) and was happily listening to my iPod tunes. I especially like that the audio cable is connected and easily slides back into place (I won't lose it!).
This is fantastic--I didn't notice any sound distortion, so now I can save the battery on my phone and not play all my music through it. I see this given as future birthday gifts.

Added 4/9/2015 - I used this the other day for over 5-1/2 hours of non-stop music play before the battery on either it or my bluetooth earbuds ran out. Very simply, I am a happy customer.

I used this with my PS4 so that I can use bluetooth headphones with it. It works fantastic. Also works great with my old iPod to listen to in my car!!

Full disclosure - I was given a unit in return for a review. I was NOT told what to say, and this is an honest review.

I connected this unit to my television surround sound unit and paired it with a set of Motorola SF500 bluetooth headphones. I am hard of hearing and like to be able to use headphones for late night television viewing so as not to disturb my wife.

The connection was good - I was able to go from one end of my house to the other (the unit is in a central location) without loss of connection.

The unit is small. I like the way the audio jack stores. It has an internal battery, but I used a spare wall charger and the included microUSB charging cord to permanently power it.

I would give it 5 stars, but there is a slight but noticeable lag time between the sound from the surround sound unit and the sound transmitted to the headphones. This means that it's fine for use with the main speakers turned off and listening to the headphones only, but not with both on. I'd like to use it this way, in order to hear better when others are watching television with me, but the lag time is annoying when it is used in this way.

It works BUT.....

First whatever device is receiving the signal must be Bluetooth 4.0/4.1 and support Apt-X or you will get a lot of delay and your video will look like you are watching a dubbed foreign film. I've tested this on 2 Bluetooth 4.0/4/1 devices and both work fine. Sound is great, no delay. The older 2.1 device I tested had great sound but was like watching an old Bruce Lee movie. So older bluetooth devices will pair and are good for audio only.

Lastly, the device runs on battery ONLY. This is a big disappointment for me. If you plug it in to charge it will not work, you have to wait. This seems to be common with many devices and I don't get it. Why can't it work while charging or simply work off of straight power continuously? If it has this capability I would have given it 5 stars.

This review is for the latest version (2nd generation) which was released in Jan 2015. Any reviews before Jan 2015 are for the older model.

I purchased this device so I could use my bluetooth headphones through my stereo while playing a PC music game (Rocksmith).
Pros:
It was easy to pair this with my headphones and it works well through my stereo. The sound quality is good and I didn't notice any disconnects.

Cons:
I waited for this 2nd generation version because I had read that blue tooth transmitters have a problem with lag. I hoped that with the updated specs that this product wouldn't suffer from that. Well, it does. It's not a really big lag but enough to make it difficult for me to play Rocksmith and hearing the guitar notes a little after I play them.

Summary: If you are using it for something that you don't need to hear in real-time then this is a good device. I don't know what Bluetooth device is out there that will work in real-time at this point.
