I wanted to give this 5 stars because I LOVE Unstoppables in the laundry, especially this particular scent. But I can't because the scent does not last as promised.

I sprayed this on all fabric surfaces in every upstairs room and wow, everything smelled great! I was so very pleased! At first the smell was really strong, I worried that it might be too strong- but then it seemed to calm down. I wasn't sure if that was my nose adjusting or if the smell was really just toning down. Since the rest of my family was out of the house so I waited to see if they would notice when they got home and if they would think the smell was potent or not. Hubby popped in for a minute to drop off son #2 and he noticed right away.... "Wow" he said. I asked "wow good" or "wow bad"? He says "smells nice, pretty strong." That was 15 minutes about after I sprayed. For my upstairs I used between 1/3 to 1/2 the bottle so I was not stingy.

He came back after about an hour and said he thought it had toned down and he said the house smelled nice. Later that afternoon we went out shopping and before we left I tried smelling it around the house and I couldn't I went up to fabrics I had sprayed and I couldn't smell it even when I got my nose right in there. So I thought maybe leaving and coming back would help fix things if I had gone smell blind. After about 4 hours we returned but the smell had not. It was gone. So it didn't even last a full day when it claims to last a week.

This still would be good to spray around if you know for sure you are having company and they are only going to be staying for a couple hours, but this is not going to be good for making your house smell perpetually good. For as much as I used on my initial test I would have thought for sure I would have had longer lasting results.

Well it's the heart of winter here in the Mid-Atlantic. The days of throwing open your windows for letting fresh breezes roll through your house are a few months past, and still a few months away. With 4 human, 2 dogs, and 1 cat all cooped up for long periods of time, things tend to get a little...stale?

Just spritzing the furniture and curtains with Febreze this time of year, is like getting a little dose of the clean scents of Spring. I love walking in out of the snow and cold and smelling the living room when it's been sprayed with Febreze. It makes the house and furniture smell clean and fresh. I always try to keep a bottle or two on hand just to keep our living areas smelling great.

First of all, the bottle isn't well designed at all. It's not molded in one piece. The top of it is separate, and if you squeeze the bottle even a little (like to twist the top), all the liquid comes gushing out of the seam. I wanted to open the bottle to pour some into a smaller bottle to keep at work. But the top doesn't twist, it stays "locked" (there are two pictures of a locked lock and an unlocked lock stamped into where the seam is, suggesting that one seals it shut and the other opens it). When you grab the bottle to try to twist the top, the liquid gushes out… even when it's supposedly locked. If I put any muscle into trying to twist the top, this heavily scented liquid all pours out of the seam and down your hand and arm. I had two other people try to open it. Neither was able to twist it to the unlocked position, and of course both got soaked.

Second… the scent (I got the "Lush" version) is headache inducing. It's a sweet, cloying, heavy and suffocating smell, so the fact that it only lasts for a day or so is just as well. I will use this on things I want to store (like comforters) but it's definitely not something I wish to smell every day around my home. I'll stick with the standard Febreze varieties.

I don't at all care for this product. It bypasses freshening fabrics and goes straight to overwhelming odor. It's very strong, and not at all balanced like the Febreeze precursors.

Also, I don't get the spray nozzle. It locks and unlocks, and has two unlock settings that are the exact same. There's no difference in the two unlock settings, to allow for control of how much can be spritzed onto fabrics. And the mono-settings spray an uncontrollably wide swatch of material. It's not possible to just spray less. Perhaps if that functionality was differentiated to two distinct settings, so that you could spray a lot or a little at once, the fragrance wouldn't be so overwhelming. Also, because the unlock setting releases a lot of liquid, plan on your fabric being more than a bit damp.

That said, this product does change the smell of fabrics. It's just a question of how aromatic you want them, and how we you can tolerate them being for a while.

I won't get this product again.

I am sitting in a closed up WI home that won't see any fresh air for a couple more months. I also have a houseful of deceased relative's furniture that is lovely but suffering from too much storage. I'm trying to find forever homes for this stuff and I thought a bit of Febreze would help.

The scent here is Fresh, described as like 'glacier river water in Finland'. That is PR nonsense but the scent is perfect; not floral, just clean. I tried this on my husband's chair and several upholstered chairs and couches. It was very successful at eliminating storage funk as well as the fumes from my husband's favorite chair. I also took the opportunity to spray the inside of his Jeep and that is habitable now too.

I really applaud the manufacturer for the easy grip spray action as well as the fine but wide action of the spray. This prevents spotting and allows the user to cover a decent area lightly. I've been a Febreze customer for years but this scent has won me over. I understand this will be available in other fragrances as well. This is a 16.9 oz bottle so it will last a while. Great product, will get a lot of use until I can open the windows in April!
