    This jacket is adorable but it is a lot different than the adult version. It is a thicker stiffer fleece. My daughter is small for her age and it fits her perfect now she is only ten months. I was hoping for some growing room. This jacket runs small. Also the cuffs around the wrist r fairly small as well. They do not stretch at all and just fit. It's rough getting little hand through.

    I like this jacket. The LL Bean version is definitely nicer - but it was sold out. The LL Bean version has a hood, a guard at the top of the zipper so it doesn't pinch your child's chin or make it chapped in the cold, a loop for hanging the jacket on a hook, contrasting color binding on the hood, sleeves and pocket, it also has a reflective triangle on the back and it's much softer. So I would buy the other one if I could. That being said, this one is half the price - so it's not a bad option.

    I researched & read a few reviews about this item before deciding to purchase it. A lot of parents were saying the same thing about their children's wrists tightly fitting through the sleeves opening. I decided to take a chance since I planned on purchasing a larger size, hoping it'll be able to be worn in the Fall. I don't have the sleeve opening issue at all nor do I for see it happening as my daughter grows. There's plenty of room for growth & o don't have any issues folding the sleeves opening for her hands now. I'm not saying that something can't happen as she grows but I'd be shocked if it did.
    Living on the West Coast, this is perfect for a chilly Spring day. It's not too great for a rainy day since it doesn't have a hood, which you clearly know prior to purchasing, but it's perfect for warmth. This not having a hood didn't bother me since she has a windbreaker for slightly warmer days.
    Overall, I'm very pleased with this jacket. I'd purchase this item again & recommend it to any of my friends with little ones.

    Hm, this coat seems very off, as the other posts say the wrists are very tight! I had to cut along the seam and will add elastic to the jacket, other than that theres no way my daughters arm would fit, i got the black with the groovy "pink" zipper...the zipper is deffiently purple, no where near pink..the fabric of this jacket is very stiff with a weird texture feeling, doesent feel like my adult sized columbia jacket, for refrence my daughter is 16 1/2 months old,weighs 23lbs and i got the size 18-24 months, other than the wrists being to tight the jacket seems to fit her perfect,i really would advise buying this product tho, if i knew what i know now before buying i would of passed on this item, i really hope they fix the problem with the wrists being too tight.....

    My daughter is currently wearing 18 month clothes (Carters 18 month clothes fit her perfectly) and the 18 month jacket is slightly too big for her, which I prefer because I know she will get more wears out of it. We live in California so I needed something to keep in the diaper bag for chilly mornings/evenings. She also really likes wearing it because it's soft and the zipper doesn't annoy her like some of her other jackets.

    My little one has tiny wrists and hands, and the wrists cuffs were too tight. This jacket should've been returned but I needed something warm for the weekend. I cut the cuffs off and sewed the ends. Too much work for a Columbia jacket if you ask me!
