The Proscan 42-Inch UHD TV arrived well packaged and on time. Setup, which amounted to little more than aligning the two foot pads that make up the base (with it's two very tiny screws) the only real effort required. I was very surprised at how thin the overall footprint of the set is.
For a large 42 inch screen, it has a pleasing delicate appearance.
Picture quality was tack sharp with excellent black levels. I was surprised at how well the internal speakers sounded with clear voice and sufficient volume at an avarage viewing distance without distortion.

Both audio and video settings can be adjusted using the somewhat anemic non back lit remote. I cannot comment on the OTA tuner since where I setup my unit, even with a powered antenna, reception would be lousy so I leave that for someone else to comment on.

My set came with a Roku Stick which pretty much turns this setup into a smart TV. (If yours did not, you can accomplish the same thing with a Wi-Fi enabled DVD or BluRay Player)
The added bonus of the Roku Stick is if you travel or use your compuer to watch TV, its small form factor (it's the size of a thick Flash drive) allows you to take it with you.

All things considered at this price point even without the Roku Stick, it's a great investment of entertainment dollars.

I'm using this as a monitor for my desktop computer. It is a replacement for a 37" 1080p that I have used for years. The 1080p resolution was just a little to low when opening many windows at once. 1080p also had visible pixels. 4K resolution works much better and allows multi side by side windows, and the pixels are not visible from computer viewing distances.

Of course you need to make sure your video card is capable of outputting 4k for it to work, and you MUST use HDMI port 1 on the TV for 4K input.

I am using a EVGA GeForce GT 740 video card set to 3840 x 2160 and it is working flawlessly in Windows 8 and Windows 10.

I do not have a 4k source, but 1080 video has excellent picture quality. 4 HDMI ports is also a plus. The only bad this is very poor speakers. We had to purchase external speakers to hear any amount of detail. Other than that, it is a solid TV.

Found this as a deal at Microcenter... only used it with a roku at 1080p.

When I tried to plug a computer in to it, HDMI ports 2 and 3 would only display at a max of 1080p, and when I used HDMI port 1, the computer showed as 4k, but the TV kept saying unsupported mode...

works great at 1080p, but.....

I don't have a sound system to plug this into so the sound out of the TV is not good. The sound all comes out of the back and I have it in a corner so it sounds like your in a eco chamber. The picture quality is also bad because no one is broadcasting in UHD. So my Vision TV looks just as good if not better. DISAPOINTED
