Hostess powdered donuts have a quality control issue. Some packages have a terrible taste. It tastes like soap or some type of cleaner. If you google this problem, there are lots of people complaining about this issue. I think it's the powdered sugar and not the donut itself because the chocolate ones do not have this problem. My children love powdered donuts as a snack sometimes so we have started to buy Little Debbie powdered donuts which are much better.

Arrived fresh, and they were delicious! We were so happy to be able to order them, as we live in Zambia. There isn't anything like Hostess here, so our children were ecstatic to have zingers and pies to pack in their lunch. It was also great for them to grab a package of donuts for a quick snack.

Ugh! Very disappointed. Ever since Hostess company was sold, these donuts are NOT the original taste. Tasted terrible. I could only eat one. Husband isn't picky and he eats his with coffee. Watch the expiration date. I just received mine and they expire in 9 days. BOOO.

We ordered these twice and the first time they were fine but the second time they tasted awful you couldn't even eat them. They weren't expired but the taste was so bad it stayed with you and would make you sick. I think I will pass on ordering them again.

I purchased these in October 2015 and the expiration was July 2015. The expiration was 4 months past due and the donuts tasted like lemony chalk. Horrible!

Meh. Something is missing here compared to the powdered sugar donuts from Mrs Bairds. These are heavier and leave a sort of waxy film on the back of your tongue. The donut texture is dense and more cake like than the Mrs Bairds also. The one good thing about these is the dogs love them and I can easily hide pills in a donut, hand it to a dog and no drama.
