I got this jacket to handle Colorado winters and it doesn't disappoint! I got the darker purple and the color shown is true to real life. The fur on the hood is removable but it adds a lot of style to the coat and it isn't scratchy or annoying. I've worn this out in weather down to 8 degrees F with wind with just a long sleeve shirt under and been warm - even better with a fleece under. The Omni-heat works, and this jacket definitely builds up warmth and then maintains it without overheating. The sleeves aren't tight and your gloves will easily fit under them, there is velcro so you can cinch them down over. It seems like it is going to hold up well against ski season, the outer fabric is durable and waterproof. I've had quite a few winter coats for skiing and this one combines warmth, functionality, and comfort very well for the price. It's also a very stylish jacket and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

The 3-in-1 functionality is nice, I haven't needed to separate the layers because they work well together but they're attached by a zipper in the front and the sleeves/shoulders are snapped in by little flat clips so it doesn't feel like wearing two separate pieces. No issues with sleeve bunching or uncomfortable separation between the layers so far; definitely feels like one coat when put together.

Sizing: I'm 5'4''/140/32C and I have another lighter Columbia jacket in a medium which fits great, I got a Large in the Lhotse to put layers under it. The sleeves are long and they go over my hands slightly (about to the base of my thumbs) and the jacket is parka-length - so great to keep your butt warm in cold cars or on ski lifts! Going a size up also gives it a great slope style- looks so cute apre ski with warm leggings and tall boots. If you're on the border between two sizes you should get the larger. If you're like me and you don't like wearing winter coats that are heavy, bulky, or unflattering that won't be a problem in this awesome jacket!

I purchased this for my girlfriend and she absolutely loved it. The sizing correlated well with the size chart, and the jacket looks very fitted and feminine but pretty much has all of the features of my waterfowl jacket. The inner liner zips in/out easily and secures at the wrists. The design of the jacket has obviously had a lot of thought go into it. The adjustable waist and wrist cuffs are nice and the neck of the jacket should really protect against heat loss. It is a fairly light jacket, but should be very warm due to the layers and radiant barrier like material on the inside of the liner. Very pleased with this purchase.

This jacket is super cute and keeping me very warm in Minnesota! I am from Texas and needed a warm weather coat and this is doing the job. Nice durable material on outside. The only thing I don't think is great is the powder skirt. It is fine for me because I'm not skiing, however, don't know how well it would function for ya. I love it so much I just ordered my daughter one too!

I love the interchange jackets because they're so versatile. This thing got me through the Winter Classic game at Gillette, so the warmth factor isn't an issue. The only thing that annoys me slightly is the shell. It's about an inch shorter and fits smaller than the other shell type Columbia jacket I have, so if I raise my arms over my head my stomach will be exposed because it's not long enough. It's also supposed to be an "active fit" and contour somewhat, but it's tight in the chest and baggy in the stomach.

I'm 5'7, 170lbs and ordered an XL. I probably could have gotten away with a large but I wanted some room to wear sweaters and hoodies underneath. I also love that the sleeves are long enough. Lots of pockets and very versatile. I normally don't spend this much money on a single coat but it was worth it. My last Columbia coat lasted me about ten years, so hopefully this will last that long as well.

Best jacket ever! Perfect hip length, nice shape (it actually has a little bit of a fit and flare) and great details. All together it is a very warm ski jacket with options. The hood zips on and off. The inner lining also zips out and both pieces can be worn alone. Truly a great jacket.
