This is a decent little radio for the money. Reception has some static due to the 7.5" extended antenna. You're required to move the radio around to find the best reception and then the static disappears. Improvements: Make the radio a little taller so you could install a longer, more durable antenna. I purchased this radio as I wanted a compact sized radio for my emergency bugout bag. I decided on this unit as most weather radios have a poor rating of 3.0 to 3.5 stars no matter the price range. Very good quality for the price range.
