Lets put it this way, my cat was a stinky pooping machine! I mean, BAD. very bad. Even when we scooped out her box, the horrible stench was still there, lingering. I fed her store bought, just basic food that she loved. Came across this Evo food, read the ingredients and bought her the small bag of the turkey/chicken grain free. Now, when I first opened the bag, I wanted to puke! But in a GOOD way! The food is VERY pungent and considering the meat protein percentage, it should! She LOVES it! And the great amounts of very stinky poop? GONE! I'm serious! She poops very little now and it doesn't even smell any more. I'm being very serious now. All of that nasty sh*t I was feeding her all this time ended up in her litter box because it was full of fillers and god knows what else. And she eats about half of what I used to give her a day. Read the ingredients, you will see. And the 2,2 lb bag? I have had it for almost a MONTH now. A MONTH! She has a habit of gorging so I give her very small handfuls throughout the day. It sounds like a pain in the a*s but it really isnt. When I go through the kitchen, I just grab some and put it in her dish and she comes running. OR she stands on my chest at 4 AM bitchin. PLEASE, try the 2.2 lb bag and see what happens!

I had to call the company about this. The very nice customer service rep did her best to attempt getting the info, but it was a "guess". EVO has a significant history of recalled food. Stores are hesitant to carry it now. Amazon is my only source. EVO should be more grateful for the Amazon customer purchases and be more stringent with their quality control. Sadly, my cat will be getting a new brand of food, one I can buy in a local store and have legible information to read.

I'm always looking for a new food to introduce into the "rotation" for my cats so they won't get bored with the same stuff. Their favorite is Fromm Four-Star Nutritionals Surf and Turf Formula Dry Cat Food, 5-Pound Bag, but I like to throw in something different every few weeks.

I read the ingredients and reviews and decided to give a small bag of this EVO Turkey & Chicken a try.

Big mistake.

Although my cats ate it and seemed to like it, the problems started about 12-24 hrs later. Severe and sudden diarrhea (meaning they often didn't have time to make it to the litter box), upchucking, really not a fun time for any of us. It got so bad I called the vet (I'd already taken the food away) to see if I needed to bring them in. Her advice was to remove this food, switch back to the Fromm and see if things cleared up.

I'm happy to say they are doing better (It's been about 24 hrs since I replaced the food). Obviously, this is an exception, and it seems from the other reviews that most cats would probably do just fine on this. I'm still not sure precisely what ingredient(s) set them off, but something in this food seemed to cause a lot of "digestive distress" with my two Devon Rex kitties. We won't be trying this brand again. Sorry.

I buy this food for my 3 ferrets and they love it! It's extremely high quality and perfect for our little obligate carnivores (cats and ferrets!). I can even use the kibble as treats for training!

Unfortunately the price on Amazon is ridiculous. I payed ~$27 for a 2lb bag. I can get a 15lb bag for $40 over at chewy.com.

The way it ships or the actual product resulted in about HALF the EVO Turkey & Chicken Cat & Kitten Grain Free Food 2.2 Pounds Kibble being a crumb mush that the cats won't eat, and frankly, I don't blame them. It's like trying to eat bread crumbs.

I LOVE this food - my 2 cats are thriving on it! It was recommended to me by my vet for my older larger cat but both my cats love it. And... the best part? No more puke all over my house - it has stopped completely! My older cat is very happy and I think she likes not puking everywhere either. I hope amazon continues to carry it!

My cat refuses any other dry food! I've tried everything. Been two years. So it must be good, and she's very healthy and active.

However I would not recommend buying this here! It's 3x overpriced! Look anywhere else you will find a bag 3x's the size for the same price with the same speed of delivery.

My 6 1/2 year old cat had severe pancreatitis and now must be on a low-carb diet. This food has lower carbs (13%) than the diabetic food my vet sells and is grain free which is vital since Twilight is allergic to corn.
