Most of the cars I have driven were made before Bluetooth was implemented into vehicles, for example my Honda CRV 08. I sometimes envy to be able to Bluetooth to my car to make calls as it does not require me to charge up a Bluetooth receiver

Rii's Geartist allows me to bring the latest Bluetooth technology to my car as the FM transmitter broadcasts through FM with easy pairing

Contents:
Rii FM transmitter that goes into a USB plug
Dual USB car charger with one usb being 2A and the other being 1A
3M magnetic sticky pad

Use is just simple and easy to setup
Plug in the car charger
Plug in the USB into the car charger
Turn on the car and I am ready to pair

Pairing must be completed before selecting a radio station

Use the car's tuner to find a station without any broadcast
Just tap FM and hold the arrow keys until you reach the matching station of the radio
Tap FM again to select that station

Once a proper station is located, I just can start playing music and control music from the transmitter. Transmitter itself also has a mic for calls

Keep in mind that the quality depends on the location of the antenna of the car. CRV's antenna is in the back of the car and thus the transmitter had better reception further back. The Rii Geartist works fine without much static even with the antenna in the far back

Magnetic backing means I can remove the transmitter from the dash when necessary

Overall, the transmitter's quality is surprisingly clear and I was able to transmit music without issues. The button interface allows me to use hands free calling with reduced distraction while driving. Bluetooth pairing has been simple

Hope my experience with the FM transmitter helps ya out. Questions and comments welcome

I was VERY disappointed with this product although I had very high hopes for this product. Generally speaking the product feels nice and the mag holder for the display is nice... that is of course assuming that the first AND the second unit which I received would have have a functioning display.

Based upon the reviews I can only assume that for whatever reason they switched suppliers or changed the manufacturing process involving cheaper parts/production costs but I am beyond disappointed especially seeing that there is not even a phone number to call the company.

To clarify --- I purchased one of these beginning of July 2015, immediately notice the issues regarding the display which somehow did not lightup correctly.... called Amazon who sent out a replacement, that unit had the same type of defect but this time it was not as bad as before. I figured that I only really need to set it once and while it did work great for about 30 days I was on a longer drive when I was getting radio interference so I figured I would simply adjust the station on the device and re-tune my radio - problem however was that as I was looking a the unit I noticed the display was next to impossible to read as only 1/3 of the lines were working (far worse even to the original unit I sent back).

Yesterday I again wanted to give it a try while driving when I noticed the display was not working at all anymore. What is so upsetting with this is that I actually really like the device but now I guess I have tuned the device to some type of channel which I can no longer find rendering the entire units worthless.

I am very curios to know how long it takes Rii to respond to this complaint showing the genuinely care about their products, their quality an their customers....Read more ›

I loved this, but after about a week the LED part only partially lit up and you could not tell what channel it was on. It did work other than that. I would have traded for another but the only option was a refund, which I received with no hassle. Considering trying it again.

Continue to be amazed by technology. This is a very nice, easy-to-use, affordable FM signal based transmitter that allows you to play your music over your car stereo (or any device that receives FM signals). It can also turn your car's sound system into a big speakerphone where you can hear your caller over the speakers.

It worked very well for us and we would recommend this Geartist GB01 unit if you are looking to purchase such a device. The LCD display is easy to read too, and that is a nice touch.

My 2006 Mustang GT has the original Shaker 500 sound system that plays strong tunes but is old school... just AM, FM and CD. I have thought about upgrading the Shaker 500, but really just can't bring myself to put an aftermarket radio into the car.

All I had to do to get my phone's playlist playing on the Shaker 500 was:

* Unbox the Geartist GB01 transmitter from its clamshell style retail package
* Plug the power adapter end (two USB charging ports) into the car's cigarette lighter
* Plug the transmitter into one of the adapter's power ports
* Select a unused channel for the transmitter's tuner to use (used 107.7)
* pair the transmitter with my HTC Droid DNA via BT 4.0
* Turn the car's radio on and change its channel to match the unit's tuner (107.7)
* Crank up the music
* Enjoy the tunes!

We tested the unit with an HTC Droid DNA, and the sound was excellent. Quick and easy to pair and play. We played an eclectic selection from sources including Amazon's MP3 Cloud, Pandora and our own audio files. The results were really very good; and we played with the equalizers on our phones and had very good response over the car's system.
