First, the question of what does "6-cup" mean in this context. I filled the bottom reservoir to just below the relief valve and when all was said and done, I poured 6 ounces of espresso from the top. Pretty much what I'd expected. I love the looks of this thing, but that's only incidental to the fact that it does exactly the job for which it's designed and does it flawlessly. I didn't get any drip from the joint between the reservoir and the top because I tightened them adequately together -- and that doesn't mean I needed a pipe wrench to get that apart, but simply that I went to where I felt a bit of resistance, then a little bit more. Nor did I have any leakage from the relief valve, though I can easily imagine that happening if the reservoir were filled to above its level. All in all, I got a delicious cup of espresso without any problem. And I'm very happy to be using steel rather than aluminum.

I bought this to replace a pot I bought for about the same price a few months ago. That pot was aluminium, leaked (so I twisted it tighter to stop it from leaking) and broke when I was unscrewing it. This replacement is far superior. It's steel and the build is very good. It's larger than the last one (makes about 400ml of coffee). The coffee it makes is good, and although it takes a little longer than aluminium, it's still quite quick. i don't think you need to spend a lot for a good pot and this definitely fits the mark.

Best product ever! The only 9 cup size I could find in stainless.
I wish they made a 12 cup. I'm buying another one for camping and another for work.
I had one 10 years ago and the lid broke (is flimsy), but what do you want for $15?
Stainless!!! yippeeeee!!!! best coffee maker in the house and believe me we have a dozen different kinds.
I still love my dripper (stianless too) and I tolerate the plastic mr coffee auto maker on the counter that my husband likes
but if you want good thick dark rich espresso YUM, then you do need this item.
do I LOVE it? YES. :D

Great product. The stainless steel version is so much better than the aluminum. No color changing, easier to clean and feels sturdier and better made. Plus no after taste of metal like some say you get with aluminum.

The way it is designed (with a deepen narrow circular) makes it harder to clean than the standard aluminum espresso maker. I can't say it is very well made but it is stainless steel. I am satisfy with it for what I paid. I don't think I would pay more for this product.

this seems much nicer than the hexagonal shaped aluminum ones... the gasket between the top and bottom parts was too large, allowing steam to escape, which obviously effected how the coffee was made, but when I contacted them, they let me know that they would have a gasket for this size espresso maker soon and would send one out to me- now that's customer service!

Beautiful little coffee pot. I used this every day. I much prefer the stainless steel to aluminum pots. Note: Must screw bottom on tightly to prevent steam leaking.

I have a smaller version of this espresso pot which is almost decent, but this one is dreadful. The metal is too thin, so the bottom of the pot deforms with a loud "pop" when the steam pressure rises, which also bounces it off my induction rangetop. The lid hinge was assembled sloppily, so that it is almost impossible to open the lid from the opening lever. It is difficult to get a good seal on the main gasket between the steam chamber and the upper pot, but, if I do, the relief valve whistles with a deafening high-frequency scream.

Both this item and the smaller one suffer from being too flimsy to hold enough pressure to brew espresso properly. The instructions even caution against packing the coffee grounds - but loose grounds make a weak, unpleasant beverage, not espresso. Packing the grounds leads to the bottoms of both pots ballooning out and lots of steam being vented from the relief valves. This is less of a problem on the smaller pot, since, because of the smaller diameter, it deforms less under pressure.

I bought both of these because my aluminum Moka pot doesn't work on the induction stove, but, cheap as they are, they're not worth the money.
