Yesterday was my first time trying my Inov8 Race Ultra 290's and they were really great. However

I actually purchased this shoe because the description said "GORE-TEX waterproof membrane". I was shopping for a waterproof trail sneaker. Yesterday was my first time trying my Inov8 Race Ultra 290's and they were really great. However, I found out they're NOT waterproof. I stepped into wet mud and could feel the wetness through the sneaker. They do drain well though. They were dry very soon afterwards. Also after hiking 13 miles, I experienced no blisters and the shoes were very comfortable. I have actually heard that waterproof shoes tend to keep water in if water does get in from the top, so they drain terribly, so even though I was disappointed these shoes are not waterproof, maybe that's not such a bad feature after all. My feet are wide with bunions on both, and these shoes fit great, which was a pleasant surprise because I thought Inov8's tend to be narrow. I think the waterproof description is misleading and inaccurate and should be corrected, though. Otherwise, I recommend this shoe.

Amazing Shoes!

These shoes are amazing! They fit very comfortably and give me support while allowing my feet to breathe. They are snug but not too tight. I had stepped on a toothpick the day before getting these shoes. It really hurt to walk, but I had to partake in an event the next day that required a lot of walking. These shoes saved the day! I had heard about Inov-8 from a fellow fitness friend, who had highly recommended them. I had been waiting for over a year to purchase the shoes because of how expensive they are. When they went on a lightening deal, it was a no brainer! Worth the wait!

Great for running dog agility in a dirt arena

These are my "go to" shoes for my sport of dog agility. I use these when I want good traction, in particular when running on dirt or bark. They provide excellent traction without too much tread like some trail shoes. I can still pivot and turn easily. The bonus is that while these are not waterproof, they are also not an open mesh, so I don't end up with socks full of dirt and dust at the end of a day.
