When I ordered this product, I was hoping for a cover like I had in the early '90s. That one was made of a fairly dense canvas-like material. Unfortunately, that's not what I got. The material is very lightweight, so much so that it slid on my windshield when I went from the passenger side to the driver side to secure it, the cover shifted from its original position to another. I'm pretty sure the neighbors got a good laugh watching me shuttling from the driver side to the passenger side at least half a dozen times like a persistent mad man. I had to laugh at myself. There were also a few small rips in the seams, but they are just barely worth mentioning. The cover did a good job with the ten inches of snow we got just recently. Ultimately, it's a good idea, but somewhat unfortunately executed.

That being said, Braden, the owner of the company sent me an email yesterday asking about how satisfied I was with the cover. I told him pretty much I wrote here. He replied promptly, thanked me for the input and graciously offered a refund without requiring me to return the product. This kind of personal attention is rare and I appreciate it. I'd like to see Apex Automotive succeed. With a few tweaks, I'm confident it will do just fine.

I purchased two Snow Covers with the intention of putting the second one on my rear window. It worked out very well. Both the windshield and the rear window were protected. Of course the one on the rear window didn't quite fit like on the windshield but it did a great job and saved this 68 year old woman a lot of work! They were so easy to install and stayed secure. After inserting the flap in the car, I shut the door Gently and it stayed tight. The first time I let the door shut hard and it caused a burst of air and the flap loosened up. My Bad. Gentle door closing equals tight flap. I will definitely recommend this snow cover to my neighbors.

This has been a really useful product especially for the crazy winter weather we get here in the midwest. The product comes professionally packaged and even has a carrying pouch which comes in handy when it's not being used. What I appreciate most about the product is that it covers both the windscreen as well as the wipers. Furthermore, there are magnets which help hold the cover down and prevent snow from getting underneath during high winds. I signed up to be a part of the Apex snow cover launch promotion where I was lucky to get one at no cost. I hands down recommend it and would definitely pay for another if I had a second car!

Looks like a few people already beat me to it but I signed up for the launch special too since I enjoy reviewing products. They gave me one to test and share a review with others. I was impressed with the size of it. It covers wipers and windshield but then folds into a small pouch. I don't live in too windy of an area but I was glad for the magnets along the edges. There are actually little weights inside of the flaps to keep it from moving while closing the door onto them which I thought was a nice touch. I would give it my recommendation. Good buy

Where to even begin, I own a 2006 Subaru Legacy. I was looking for a replacement for a heavier cover that had metallic coloring I had purchased for my truck at a certain *mart. And I thought that was cheap, but it worked a million times better than this worthless piece of junk. I will say, the sizing of it was fantastic, had this worked, it truly did cover my entire windshield, wipers and fluid wells. The problems are many, the fabric feels basically like the costume capes that you buy during Halloween, the magnets are so cheap, thin and lacking in strength i'm not entirely sure they'd hold a piece of paper on my fridge let alone keep the cover in place on my car. And finally the tie system, my previous snow cover had nice elastic bands with hooks on the end, made attaching it my steering wheel and other spots easy, mind you I paid roughly 7 dollars less for the previous good version, this cover has you tie them to something, which is fine, except today is the first official wind and snow day in Minnesota, and guess what, The tie system, ripped right off, leaving this cover wrapped around a tree, because the low strength magnets could not hold help to hold it in place either. So I do not and will not recommend this product to anyone, it's cheap and completely ineffective, I'll hopefully be able to find something usable before the really heavy stuff hits.
*Update* 12/5/2015 Even though The product itself was not usable for me, I do need to give an extremely positive review of the Owners and Customer Service from Apex and more specifically Braden Conn. He contacted me to see how the cover worked, and after talking to him, and hearing my frustration, he offered a more than fair refund and was just generally great to work with. Again, the product did not work at all for me, but the overall experience was very positive, Change my rating to a 3 star, although the customer service deserves a full 5.

The windshield does a good job of coverage and I like the magnets to keep it in place. The problem is after each use you need to dry it out before the next use because it will freeze to windshield. I have put it on dry windshield and in dry conditions and in the morning when removing it will be wet and sometimes frozen to the windshield and you tear it off. I will continue to look for a better alternative.
