I love for our clothes and bedding to smell good and feel soft. I buy all kinds of softeners, constantly switching. It's not that I don't like any of them, I just like change. These come right out of the box smelling great, and right out of the dryer, normal clothes smell okay too. However, DO NOT wash anything with a plush fabric! I washed the blanket on our bed- it's a plush blanket, and dried it with one of these dryer sheets. The smell was so sickening- it didn't smell good at all! I won't go into what it did smell like, but that night I had to take the blanket off of the bed until I could re-wash it. I thought it was strange, as the clothes hadn't smelled bad, so I was wondering if maybe it was something on the blanket, rather than a problem with the dryer sheets. And then I washed my plush bathrobe. Same sickening smell. I don't know why it does this, but it's absolutely disgusting!!
