Nice finish and seems to mount solid. Appears to cowittness a micro reflex red dot with flip up iron sights. I noticed it does mark up the rail a little. If it holds as good as it looks, it will be nice. Tomorrow is range day!

I bought this to install a Bushnell red dot on my AR15 and it works well. Raised it the perfect height to co-witness with the front site.
And it's black, that means it's tactical, which basically turns my AR15 into an AR15.5.
I'm thinking about buying several more to put some flashlights (that's right--plural) on my rifle, you can never have enough flashlights, right? Plus I need a lot of light, because in the darkness of night is when soda cans and paper targets usually attack my compound. I think I'll mount one of the flashlights to shine behind me, that way the cans won't know if I'm coming or going (the paper targets are too smart for this trick, though).
I took off one star because it didn't have instructions and when I installed it the first time, I got my hand stuck in my DVD player.

Really nice to have on my bi-pod. I've used it to switch my bipod between guns really quick. Or to just pop it off to use it in carry mode. I have had an issue with the small pin falling out. When it isn't under tension it would fall out. Luckly I was able to find it. I put it back in and then used a small screw driver to expand it, and now it is in snug.

I'm sending it back. The little roll pin that secures the handle keeps falling out. When the mount is locked on the rail, the tension holds just fine, but when you remove it, the roll pin drops out. This defeats the whole purpose of having a QD mount. You can try to open up the roll pin to make it hold, but the pin is steel, and the mount lever is NOT. Be careful. For 10 bucks, it's just not worth messing with.

I had purchased a flashlight/laser combo that would simply not fit on my compact M&P 40 (two picatinny rail groves on the gun). Extremely poor quality fell apart with in less than a minute after taking out of the box. The tension Springs were mangled and the pin that holds the lock down lever in place will not stay in causing the whole thing to fall apart very disappointed in this product.
