I purchased this camera and have it connected to a LNR182 NVR. When I connected the camera to the NVR and powered it up I was pleased with the start up, the picture was very good and the controls worked well. My first test was from an upstairs room, looking out the window with the camera "C" clamped to a file cabinet drawer, I was able to read 2" high lettering on a trash can which was over 800 feet away.
Next I connected it to my home network. After resolving some IP address issues and password issues the camera was displayed on my desktop iMac computer.
After several days of burn-in and learning, I mounted it to a 16 foot post and buried the cable to the house. The camera now covers the front half of my 10 acres and the access road to the house.
I am now viewing the camera on my network as well as the local NVR monitor.
Then I activated the FLIR Cloud app on my smartphone and was able to view and control the camera from the phone.
Quite a success!
Positive comments:
1. Good resolution and zoom.
2. High and low speed panning.
3. Well built mount and dome.
4. Video transfer and playback on computer was easy, software provided by Lorex and others for free.

Negative comments:
1. Packing from Lorex needs more protection, the dome was very near end of shipping box and could have been damaged if mishandled.
2. Night vision is poor. It does not have any IR LEDs to illuminate the scene, so night viewing is grainy and limited by available light. Night focus also difficult, I am still working with this feature.
3. This camera when connected to the Lorex LNR182 NVR will not take snapshots. The button is on the screen but it does not function as confirmed by the manual. I wish it had snapshots!

Nice consumer-grade HD camera for my home security system. I can now read a license plates anywhere in my 100'+ driveway. You will probably need to get Lorex Customer Service involved in the setup. Lorex Customer Service is quite knowledgeable and helpful.
