The pants were fine, they just fit too small. The reason why this is getting a 2-star review is because of the poor handling of Amazon's customer service when I tried to have it exchanged for the next size up. It didn't give me the option to do it online, so I called the customer service line for further assistance. It ended up being a 30 minute phone call, 20 minutes of it spent on hold as the representative tried to figure out how to get it to work on her end. She ended up only being able to exchange it for the same size, which was pointless because I needed a larger size. When I asked her if the reason why the system won't allow it is because I bought it on sale, she said, no that shouldn't make a difference, that this is just "one of those things." Well, "one of those things" is not a good enough reason why I can't exchange an unused product for a larger size.

Since the product is no longer on sale, I asked if Amazon could just give me credits for the difference if I returned the pants and bought the larger size full price. The representative said they weren't able to do this either.

All in all, I'm pretty disappointed with the way this worked out. At least give me a legitimate reason why I can't exchange these pants. I'm disappointed in Amazon.

These pants are amazing. I bought a second pair in the grey and am considering getting the kakhi as well. They are comfortable, loose in the leg, the stretch is helpful when being active such as climbing. I used these to be multi-functional during a trip that including time in NYC and the Smoky Mountains. They worked well as both pants and shorts. The zipper at the knee never bothered me and I like the length when shorts.
